This an old diner undergoing some renovation, originally built nearly 70 years ago. After two meals here, I can say the food is uniformly very good. I’d recommend their Country Fried Steak or Pork Chops. Asking for a side of gravy or a different gravy is no problem, as it’s all made fresh to order. The waitress and cook staff put the customer first. We felt well taken care of.

I don’t live here and will most likely never see this place again. This place is(I’m still in here) awesome. Great service, nice little homie place, even the other customers were so kind and wonderful. These 2 little old ladies I would be proud to have them as my grandmothers. The food was exactly what it should be and so much more. We should model all American restaurants after what these people have here. Reasonable prices for a priceless experience.

The food was great. the prices were reasonable and the service was fabulous.the staff made us feel very welcome and always invited us back. If ever in troy we would go back again and we suggest anyone not miss this lovely spot if they travel through Troy.

A local favorite for a reason… best kept secret is their from scratch mashed potatoes, gravies and fried chicken. Place looks run down but who cares when the food is so darn yummy! Glad to have experienced this culinary delight of home cooking!

Spent $40 in food and tipped and the food was terrible terrible terrible as an understatement. The grits were extremely lumpy. French toast bread was soggy and mainly egg. They forgot a side for a $15 plate. And the toast tasted stale and like bacon from yesterday. Highly disappointed I wasted my money here.

What a true blue greasy spoon diner at its finest. The pictures that first spot up on this place make it look all nice and bright, but they must be from awhile back. When you 1st walk in you see a bunchnof home dessert sitting in a display case, with bun cakes and big ass cinnamon buns sitting on top. There are some tables to the right and a countertop with stools. There were lots of things piled up on the countertop though. Kind of felt like we walked into someone’s house. We were kindly greeted and told to sit where ever we wanted. We went left into the larger diner room. The was kind of a disheveled charm to the place. Our waitress was a good old girl and told us that she had been eating here since she was knee-high to a grasshopper. They kind of have a bit of everything, my daughter ordered a BLT sandwich my wife got a cheeseburger and both my son and I got their catfish dinner. I got mine with a side salad and mashed potatoes and my son got onion rings and fried apples. Everything was cooked to order and didn’t take very long to come to the table. The catfish was really good they had kind of a corn breaded batter to it and it was fried pretty much to perfection. It kind of felt a little out of place where it was located it’s probably been here for quite a long time before this area built up. There seemed to be a good number of regulars. We then got some of their desserts which were also really good. I think you can definitely find something here that you would like, service was good with a touch of Country Charm. If I was in the area I definitely would stop here again if I was looking for some good grub.
