It’s MARDI GRAS every day in our New Orleans Kitchen. After 40 years on the Columbus restaurant scene, seasoned Chef Henry Butcher Sr. went back to his homegrown roots, the Louisiana Bayou, where his love for colorful Creole food began. It’s a passion he proudly installed in his three children – and today, we work together in our family restaurant, sharing the vibrant flavors and traditions we were raised on. From live jazz shows to hearty jambalaya, spicy crawfish etouffee, and po’ boys with all the fixin’s join us for the authentic BIG EASY experience…..and be sure to save room for a beignet or two.

The best catfish ever!

We had a craving for some Creole food and came upon this restaurant. We’re glad we did! Chef delivered on both the etoufee and jambalaya. I really loved the cabbage side dish. Spice level goes from 1-5 and even though we like a bit of a kick, level 1 was enough. We were really full, but we had to try the biegnets! Glad we did! They said they plan to move near the Lincoln Theatre in the coming months. That’ll be a great spot for them. We’ll be back! Service and food both really good.

I went to this place because a friend suggested to me. I ordered some gumbo, a perch meal, chicken audouille Jambalaya and some beignets. Man was I blown away with everything! The jambalaya was so damn spicy on a good side and the rest was history. I will be going back for more this week.

Delicious breakfast was served with a side of customer service today. I was on my way to the airport and walked in five minutes after they shut down service between breakfast and lunch. The chef shouted “I got it!” and made a fabulous seafood omelet and grits. Thanks Creole Kitchen!

Good food. Unique atmosphere. Great live music on Fat Tuesday. Be careful though, because I was threatened by a local in the parking lot on my way to my car…

Stopped in The Mt Vernon Plaza and found this gem. Got take out. Had Creole garlic chicken wings, mac n cheese, grilled cabbage, and for dessert sweet potato cheesecake! The food was heavenly! Make the trip to the plaza and get some of the Creole Kitchen’s delicious authentic Creole food.

Not sure maybe Mardi Gras function. Service slightly slow…my dish was ok, just wish I had ordered fried chicken or the fish that looked really tasty. Cash bar? No credit card… either cash or Zelle…so no drink for me. Was busy…had a little live music w/Roger Parish. Great atmosphere…

I bought 50$ worth of food because I was hunnnnnngry . Walked away still hungry. The catfish needs seasoning! The shrimp taste frozen. The lady upfront told me it was peeled and deveined in house. LIES !! The gumbo was watered down. The cook should consider making the roux fresh. Instead he used preboxed roux. Definitely disappointed!!

The FOOD was very good and flavorful. The portions were very generous. Make sure you have everything you’re suppose to have and that nothing is spilling over. Also, be mindful of your surroundings at all times.
