We arrived and couldn’t get either door open. We ended up having to wait until another patron came out in order to get in. Word of advice, pull hard. Once inside, we ordered the frickles, but, as another patron said, there were enough there for three or more people. They should offer a half order so as not to waste so many. We also ordered the red bean gumbo, which was excellent, and the grilled shrimp platter. The shrimp were in a blackened seasoning and were quite good. I know another patron said the shrimp could be locally sourced and therefore fresher, but I thought they tasted just fine with the seasoning. The hush puppies that came with my platter were awesome! I am not a hush puppy afficianado, by any means, but I am picky about them and I thought they were one of the best things on my plate and wish I had had a couple more. Our waitress was polite and checked on us often. She kept our drinks filled which is one of my husband’s biggest basis for leaving a tip. Overall, I thought it was good for our first Louisiana Creole restaurant and would eat there again.

Got the fried seafood platter (Shrimp, Catfish, and Oysters for $27) with Onion Rings as the side dish and everything was delicious!

Terrible food ,I ordered shrimp and when they came out I tasted one and they were horrible. I ask if it was fresh locally caught shrimp and was told no we only use imported because they cheaper for them to get, so I told them they can just throw them away there’s no reason a Louisiana seafood restaurant should be selling imported sewage grown seafood when fresh naturally grown seafood is right at our door step and very easy to get

I truly enjoyed my first experience at the Creole House! Overall, the portion sizes were large. I’d recommend you try the roast beef cheddar fries and the red bean gumbo.
