Such a wonderful experience dining here. We did the omakase, which was the perfect amount of food. The tasting menu covered every range of flavors and had a nice balance of cool + hot dishes. I also loved that the waitress explained every component of the dish and how to best eat them. The cocktails were also nice but nothing special.

Spanish-Japanese means Spanish cuisine served in Japanese portion. Some dishes are so small that it’s almost laughable. The scallop dish is good, would recommend that. The octopus, mushroom rice and wagyu beef are also good, but nothing you couldn’t find in a normal Spanish place. Didn’t go with the set menu, and most of the dishes we ordered were a miss.

The service was great, the venue is outstanding and this is a solid restaurant. I’ll have to come back and get something different. I wasn’t a fan of the tuna I had. Next time I’ll go with something better. The venue is nice, it’s dark but not too dark and you have visibility into the kitchen which is pretty cool, watching the chefs perfecting their craft taking care that the plating is done just right is very interesting.

Lovely restaurant to spend the evening with love one. Crane is definition of high end restaurant with dedication to foods and costumers. Reasonable price and reasonable portion. I wouldn’t shy going back to this place again. Considering a Michelin Star restaurant, this place deserves the title.

Absolutely incredible experience that far exceeded expectations. One of the most unique restaurants I’ve ever been to and most likely my favorite restaurant in DC. The drinks were amazing. We did the a la cart option and made our own tasting menu, which I highly recommend. There was not a single dish option we had that I do not recommend. The miso salted caramel sauce with the churros gave me an outer-body episode. Service was impeccable. 10/10

Upon reading about this restaurant I decided to go. I walked in without a reservation and was seated immediately, table for 1. This was early evening approximately 530 on a weekday. I received impeccable service. My server Ashley was knowledgeable and attentive. She was also supported by other staff who made sure I had water, utensils after each plate, and a table wipe down a few times during service. I chose to go the tapas route and I was not disappointed. The food was plated nicely. I enjoyed all options of the Spanish Japanese fusion plates. The food was pricey as I spent more than 100 alone which included food, a non alcoholic beverage and dessert. Overall decor was chic. I enjoyed the experience.

Honestly, the most delightful, delicious and awe inspiring meal. The entire staff is far beyond 5 stars but especially Elmer the gent that took care of our party.

If you are a fan of smoked fish, you must order the Unagi Paella. Delicious. If you are a fan of foie gras, order the Ahi Tuna. You will not be disappointed. Lastly, the passion fruit cheesecake was different, creative and amazing! I have never tasted anything like it before! The yuzu basil consomme was a bit overpowering but still good.

Impeccable restaurant! I almost ate the whole menu. Really a chef’s true kiss. Probably one of my favorite restaurants in DC. Everything is recommended, but if I had to pick out 3 would be the Scallop Aburi, Unagi Paella and the Mushroom Rice. Simply because I love these dishes personally. The waiter was sooo nice and always caring, with the amazing environment. Really worth the michelin star.
