We decided to stop by Cracker Barrel before leaving Nashville. Our waitress was very nice. I got a newer dish, and I was surprised by how good the steak tips were. Not over cooked, and pretty well seasoned. You usually can’t go wrong with Cracker Barrel.

I want to say this was a good experience. The wait staff was wonderful. The only real negative I have to report is the Spiked Strawberry Lemonade. The drink tasted very good but there was literally no alcohol in it. When I asked about that, I was told it was poured from a mix and contained 2 ounces of vodka. Even in telling me this, I could ascertain our waitress was not convinced either. DO NOT ORDER AN ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE UNLESS IT COMES IN A BOTTLE.

We stopped to have dinner. We ordered the Sunday Homestyle Chicken dinner which is available everyday. Our waitress said she didn’t know if we could order it since it was Saturday. We told her we wanted to order it even if cost extra. We ordered a loaded baked potato(for an extra $1.99) and green beans. We heard the table next to us complaining that they had been waiting an hour for their food, which they received about 10 minutes later. After 40 minutes of waiting, our waitress came by to apologize for the wait. She said the kitchen was backed up. I ask if could have some bread while we waited and if we could have a refill of our drinks. She brought us some bread and drink refills. Almost 20 minutes later she brought our food. We asked for some BBQ sauce for our chicken. She brought us one container for two people. Our loaded baked potato was split into with some cheese and bacon pieces sprinkled on it. No whipped butter, sour cream or chopped onions. Half way through my wife’s chicken, she discovered that it was not fully cooked. Having waited an hour already to eat, and not wanting to wait any longer, she cut around the uncooked part and finished eating the rest. Good luck if you choose to brave a chance of eating at Cracker Barrel.

if you go to Cracker Barrel, you better go inside and eat, your service will be better. Every time we went into eat the service was great and the food was hot, every time we get an order to go they messed something up a month ago. I ordered the country fried steak when we got home no gravy on my steak, the time before, then my girlfriend ordered some beans, and they weren’t in there. I waited 10 minutes before they gave me the beans and of course the food was good and cold. We just got back from there and said it would be our last time after my girlfriend didn’t get her loaded potato. Most of the stuff on the menu on their photos is outdated, they didn’t have rice pilaf like they showed on their menu, in the burger combo was supposed to have a bit of coleslaw on the side. They didn’t have that either. When I got out to the truck, they didn’t have any napkins, and when they finally brought my girlfriends baked potato out, her food was cold she didn’t have sour cream, chives, or butter with it. So, as I said, if you go there, don’t get your order to go eat there that way you can let them know real quick.

My best guess this will be next nationwide chain to close. Place was 25% full and folks waited for tables. Of course blame the Govt for that.

My kids and I frequent often on Saturday mornings. Normally I choose Mommas Pancakes but I got Grandma’s sampler this time and substituted the ham for the chicken sausage (which I’m not a fan of).. everything was delicious and service was great as usual

I have loved that this place is nearby, so our family has ordered takeout on many occasions in the past. The last three times we’ve ordered, something has been missing or the order is just completely wrong. Then this most recent time that we let them know of their mistake, the manager tried to blame us for not thoroughly checking our to go order (which was completely sealed in aluminum pans) before we left the store. Whew – sorry for trusting that her and her staff would complete my order correctly. Decent food, and we’ve been regulars for a while, but unfortunately we won’t be back again.

Was served an over cooked, dried out piece of roast beef that the manager said should not have left the kitchen. This was after we returned a piece of roast beef that was miniscule and fatty originally. Waitress and manager was very gracious. No charge for that plate and sent us home with desert and ice cream.

I should have sent the meal back when I first saw the sausage. Much less when I tried to cut it. I don’t know what the heck I tried to eat. It was like chewing on a big mess that just didn’t happen. The sausage was horrible to say the least. The gravy taste was like old, old bacon grease. The scramble egg had no taste. The biscuits were great. My coke or Pepsi whatever it was , Was just a nasty taste. We WILL NOT even go into my son’s meal. I had looked forward to going to Cracker Barrel for over a year due to health issues . I did pay for it and leave a tip but, I WILL NEVER BE BACK TO EAT AGAIN!!!
