While traveling, we stopped over night in Elkin. North Carolina. Looking for a place to eat, we found the Cowboy Restaurant and it was terrific. Pleasant service, great tasting food and huge portions. Definitely worth a visit!

No complaints whatsoever, timely refills, food was brought out fresh and fast. A solid burger, also had fried banana pepper rings, a first I’ve ever heard of. Delicious, well seasoned batter. I’ll have to try one of the many steaks next time. Also, the prices are right on point, 2.00 drinks are rare to see, welcome for sure. 9.99 for a burger and fries, sure beats Hardee’s

Excellent experience. The service was great and the food was very good. Was a little busy at just after 5 on a Saturday but only had to wait a minute for a table to open up. Would definitely recommend if in the area and looking for a good spot for dinner.

The absolute worst food and service I have had in many many years. Everything they tell you is a lie. The chicken strips are not homemade like they said. They are frozen. The Mac and cheese tasted like they poured vanilla in with it. Their ranch dressing was on the counter for the full hour while we were there. Blah…My friend and I got horribly sick after eating here in December. The only thing we ate the same was the Mac and cheese so beware!!
