It is an amazing place situated within an incredibly interesting town. The outside may not look like much, but the food and the staff far exceed those trivial facades. While you’re there, get a slice of one of those phenomenal pies, maybe take home an entire pie. The Pecan Pie may be the best, except for my mother’s, that I’ve ever tasted.

The food was excellent, from the burgers and tots to the elk skillet and sweet potato fries. Staff was kind and accommodating, as well as very attentive. Oh, and save room for the pie. It’s genuinely some of the best I’ve had in my life. Never expected to find such a treasure all the way out in Sheridan.

We’ve been here twice so far and have enjoyed it both times. Simple food with intricate flavor combinations at decent prices. The waitstaff are all super friendly and the atmosphere is relaxed. An easy favorite for lunch time.

Cowboy Cafe in Sheridan, Wyoming is a five-star restaurant! The Elk Sausage and Buffalo Sausage were amazing, the staff was kind and attentive, and the coffee was hot, delicious, and plentiful. Highly recommend!
