We really enjoyed our meal here. The building and decor are beautiful but it did get loud inside as it got more crowded. The food was outstanding. We loved everything we ordered. I do think the service could be a tad better. When we had questions about the menu our server simply read the menu description back to use. She forgot which appetizers we ordered and when we were finished she suggested for next time one we’d just finished. We took home most of the ribeye entree and were disappointed that the sauce that came with the ribeye, of which there was some left, was not included with our to-go box.

Went to Covey for our anniversary. The food, from appetizer to dessert, was delightful. Service was spot on in every way; professional yet friendly. The atmosphere was good and everything was clean and comfortable. We will certainly go back.

I ate here for the first time last night and I had some pretty high expectations. Covey exceeded ALL of them. The hosts and servers were all so patient and kind, while also providing quick service. We could immediately tell that the drinks and food were high quality and prepared with very high standards in mind. The restaurant was in amazing control and already has a very impressive flow. I’m not a professional but those chefs Austen and Parker are definitely going places and Covey is the new greatest hidden gem that Wilmington has to offer. Great service, great food, great atmosphere. Highly recommend.

I took my husband for his birthday dinner. I was born and raised here, I didn’t know this road existed. I like the way the restaurant looks on the inside. I felt like I wasn’t even in Wilmington. The inside is very stylish. We were taken to our table immediately, and I had reservations. I thought the menu was okay. But I’m very picky eater and I don’t do alot of vegetables. I ordered the fried chicken and asked for French fries instead of something that came with it. The chicken was okay. I thought it was overcooked at first sight. It had extremely crispy crust, but the inside was juicy. My husband ordered steak dish, cooked medium and it was slightly overdone. There is nothing to help with noise, so it gets loud once there are alot of people inside talking. Overall the atmosphere is nice, service is pleasant, the food is okay.

We have been eagerly awaiting the opening of Covey. The meal stood up to our highest expectations with the innovative use of fresh, local ingredients highlighting the hyper-seasonality of Southeastern NC products.

Food and service were great. Had the grilled radicchio salad, butter bean ravioli, complimentary biscuits, and strawberry ice cream cookie sandwich with chocolate cookies. High chairs are available.

Wonderful atmosphere with several private rooms in an open concept, very well-trained staff, excellent menu and food service, carefully curated wine list. Josh, our server, was incredibly professional and well-versed. Top-notch addition to our local food scene.

We had a delicious experience. We tried the quail (which we felt was important considering the name) and it was very good. It had a smokey character like a tiny little smoked turkey leg at the fair in the best possible way. The carrots were nicely done (even bothered to roll cut!), and radicchio was a nice touch–though a bitter veg also charred was powerfully bitter. The deconstructed chicken biscuit which was an absolutely delicious wad of pulled chicken fried into a plank over “liquid biscuit”. Constructed back into a bite, this was awesome. Tasting the liquid biscuit component alone had a disquieting texture but did actually taste like biscuits! Steak was excellent and flavorful. The butter bean ravioli was lovely and tasted like spring. House made pasta was added a hearty bite to a lighter dish. In terms of atmosphere, the site mentions being very welcoming and cozy. The service was very friendly and helpful yet definitely a fine dining atmosphere.
