Cousins Maine Lobster: good but definitely overpriced. 22.50 for a lobster roll and mid Coleslaw. The lobster roll is put on a toasted sandwich slice, not an actual roll. Good buttery sauce with the lobster.

I am from CT and love lobster rolls so wanted to give them a try. We ordered from the food truck when it was in Clayton yesterday. First off, for lobster, I think the price is fairly on point. I was in CT a couple months ago, paid $24.95 for one and it included one side at a very good seafood restaurant near the shore. It is “expensive”, but it is lobster so I felt the price was what I expected. My husband and I both got the Connecticut roll (in my opinion the only way to have a lobster roll) and it was very good. I wouldn’t say it was the best lobster roll I’ve had but it was very good. Some of the meat seemed not as fresh as other pieces and left me wondering when it had been streamed/prepared. We also got clam chowder which was very good, as well, but we actually felt that was overpriced compared to the lobster roll. Regardless, it was all very good. We would eat there again if they’re in the area but $70 for dinner for two people is a bit high so it won’t be very often. It’s definitely an occasional treat!

The Morgan Street food hall is such a great place to try new foods. This cute location had quite a bit to offer. The shrimp tacos were fresh and flavorful and the lobster bisque was thick, rich and delicious. Our wait time wasn’t long and the young man at the counter was super friendly.

It’s pricey. Very pricey. But it’s very delicious. Food truck has a long line, but it moves pretty fast. Would like to see more unsweetened drink options in the future.

First-time customers from Hattiesburg, MS. Delicious! I had the Connecticut roll which was wonderful, along with the bisque. My daughter had the Maine roll and let me have a bite. Also wonderful, and a totally different taste. They are generous with the amount of lobster. The coleslaw is not heavy on mayonnaise, which I like. We will be back.

Maine lobster roll was perfect, but VERY small for $22. As someone said on the reviews one could finish it in 3 bites. And I’m a very petite person so for me to say that.. ya know. Sure there’s employee wages, rent and import costs etc that contributes to the price tag but there are other cheap ways to at least add a filling side or beverage that’s just not a little bit of coleslaw(which not everyone likes). The food tastes great and even though im financially ok to have the privilege to eat here, I still wouldn’t for a very long time. If it were let’s say in the $13-16 range I’d come back all the time, with friends who wouldn’t be turned off by a crazy price tag.

Wow, so disappointed today. Got your lobster and crab rolls 2 years ago from food truck after seeing you on Shark Tank. Was really good, hot, tasty and a good amount of meat. Got today in Southern Pines and price has jumped up over $5.00 for a very small roll, lukewarm at best, did not include tots( another $5!!!) And $2.00 for a can of soda!. Not worth the anticipation guys.

Shocked at the number of bad reviews I’ve seen. This particular Cousins is not a food truck, it’s located inside of Morgan Street Food Hall. Perhaps because I went on an off peak time (2p on a Tuesday) there was no issue with wait or service. I had the clam chowder and the Connecticut roll, both of which were amazing. My colleague had the lobster tacos which she also raved about. I had a great experience here!

Being from Maine I know lobster. But I live in GA. I was so excited while visiting NC to stop at Cousins in Raleigh. I got the lobster quesadillas. Worse lobster I ever had. If that isn’t Maine lobster please don’t advertise as so. Very disappointed in the business
