Great small town restaurant. Staff is very friendly and service excellent. Best thing for me is that they serve breakfast all day! They also serve delicious prime rib. If you’re passing through Amboy or close by, definitely worth your time to try.

Was so excited for a good burger after a hike and camping trip. When we arrived there were only three other tables being used. After ordering, it unfortunately took over an hour to get our food which wasn’t ideal with kids. Sadly, my burger was burnt and not tasty. However, the tater tots were decent. The server was nice though.

Absolutely horrible service! My girlfriend ordered a Bloody Mary, an after a half hour the waitress came back with her drink. Then handed us breakfast menus, then proceeded to come back immediately saying they were no longer serving any breakfast. Breakfast is advertised all day, an the only other people in the dining area were being served breakfast while we were leaving after deciding we would find somewhere else. Will not ever go back an do not suggest anyone else does. I have never left a review for anything but the way this place is run is absolutely astounding they are still even open!

The Philly cheesesteak was great, but the horseradish that came with – even better! It took somewhat between 40 min to an hour for food to arrive after ordered, I don’t know, I wasn’t counting. First I was getting impatient but then used this opportunity to slow down and reflect on my life. Will certainly come back the next time I have an existential crisis.

I just had the best chicken fried steak I’ve ever had! The portions are large, the customer service was great, and everything we got was delicious. Due to Covid the full menu wasn’t available. I can’t wait to travel through there again so I can try more.

Have many bad experiences with this place. To go order meals never complete, missing items, not told about missing items til be got home. Called at the owner argued with me about my experience telling me that couldn’t have happened. Finally offered up one free meal to fix the 2 meals that were messed up on. We went back one more time after that issue to try again. Wasn’t happy with the new menu items or the prices on the menu. This is a country restaurant and bar not a 5 star restaurant. We won’t be returning and no I didn’t use the free meal.

Food tasted good but service was not. We had six in our party and the waitress was overwhelmed. She was friendly but passed the buck when we pointed out our order was incorrect. One meal came as a fish and chips basket instead of a sandwich. Another meal was a small chicken fried steak but a large one was ordered also we were not told they had run out of biscuits so garlic toast was substituted. A third meal came with fries instead of the potato salad we ordered. Yet another meal we had to ask for the toast that came with it and that didn’t come till the end after we were finished eating. I heard the waitress tell another that came in after us that she would take their order first since we had so many in our party. Another couple came in while we were there but left before they ordered due to the wait time. There was another table of six that came in after us but they didn’t have to wait as long but I could hear them tell the waitress some of their orders were wrong too. Why is there only one waitress, cook, dishwasher and bartender when it’s obviously too busy for such a small crew. Need to hire more people and train them better. Cooks should put up all the food together and cook what’s on the ticket. The waitress needs to tell you if something is out and should check the order after its put up by the cook to ensure its accurate. We won’t be back and will not recommend. There was no apologizing for the mistakes and nothing was taken off our bill. Makes me think this is not a one off experience but normal and that the owners find this acceptable.
