Offering traditional Italian classics, Cotto Modern Italian is located in the heart of Gainesville, GA right off the downtown square.
The restaurant is open for dinner service starting at 5 PM during the week and serves brunch on the weekends starting at 12 PM, Saturday and Sunday.
Reservations are recommended, but we also take walk-in guests for table service and at the bar. The restaurant features a full service bar and a beautiful outdoor patio.

My friend made our reservation a couple of weeks in advance. Checked in with the hostess and she sat us down immediately. Apparently she forgot to ask what our reservation name was and came to the table later having to ask so she could make us off the list. No biggie.

Phenomenal!! dinner tonight at Cotto. From the food, presentation, service, atmosphere, selection, and price point—everything was top notch! Bellissimo – from start to finish a superb experience. The staff were clearly extremely well trained – Staci provided excellent pronunciation of the dishes and on multiple occasions the management team checked in on everything. The cocktails were great and perhaps even more critically the food was exceptional. Each dish we tried provided a depth of flavor that only comes from an experienced culinary team. Our new fave restaurant in Gainesville! Would give them more stars if i could. We got the brushetta my man does not like veggies but ate it up! Flavors were just right. I got a lemon drop martini was so good. I got the lamb chops meal over spinach with creamed zuchini (costolette di agnello) my man got the porterhouse over asparagus with fried potatoes (bistecca alla florentina) both were amazing! The lamb chops were a lil salty to the taste other than that tho soooo yummy! Can’t wait to go back and try more dishes! Great addition to Gainesville.

Great atmosphere, authentic Italian menu, and great service. Caesar salad was just ok- it was pretty generic tasting. The risotto was good along with the bruschetta. Enjoyed the tiramisu. Want to come back to try their pizza. Prices were very reasonable.

Amazing food and service. Wonderful burrata to begin an elegant meal. Italian sausage, chicken grilled to perfection and side dishes that compliment perfectly. Wonderful Italian in a great location on the square with excellent staff! Francisco was attentive and knowledgeable. Highly recommend!

My fiancé and I dinned here last night, and had a really nice date night! We both had wonderful drinks and great food! The bruschetta was a MUST order! So flavorful, the tomatoes were marinated and delicious. The pastas were great and the service was awesome and attentive!! Definitely make this a date night spot!
