Definitely a place to stop. Had a great lunch and conversation with Molly. Super cute girl with a personality to match. She was super personable and enjoyed sharing her travel experiences with me as I waited for my steak. Steak was cooked perfectly. Roll, meat and cheese ratio spot on. Kudos to the chef and ordering staff. Awesome flavor on the meat and not tough at all. Definitely a place you want to stop in and see when I’m town.

The food is excellent! The cheesesteak does not disappoint. And the fries are so good!!! The layout of the restaurant is a bit odd, you order inside and there’s only 4 tables outside to sit and eat. So if the weather is bad, be prepared for that. When you order ryou can either do so on a touch screen computer or with an employee. The service was great, employees are super friendly and helpful. The prices are fair. The food is super fresh and obviously homemade. It’s so good and I will definitely be returning!!

First, the good. Food. I ordered a cheeses steak with onions and mushrooms and salt and vinegar fries. Both came out fresh, hot, and delicious. The front-end cashier. Knowledgeable and friendly and very accommodating when I inadvertently ordered wrong. Now the bad. No in-house dining (but there is outside), so it’s not a really bad deal. Story time… 3 men came in right after me as a group. Someone from the back greeted them kindly and boisterously, even offering them some samples of pizza. Another gentleman came in while he was giving those guys the pizza and explaining the deal, telling them to “give it a try.” Myself and the other gentleman were completely ignored by that boisterous fellow, not even a hello. Although he was friendly to the guys, he should have at least acknowledged everyone in the area or no one at all.

Cosmo’s is consistently great. The food is tasty, fresh, and hot every time. The Classic red pan-fried Sicilian pizza, pagash pizza, and cheesesteak with wiz, marinara, and fried onions have never been a disappointment. The staff is friendly, and there never is a long wait for food. There is no other place in northeastern Pennsylvania that I’d rather go for a cheesesteak.

I have no idea why this place has any 5 star reviews. Cheese steak was bland, hardly any peppers or onions, I think there was provolone but can’t be sure. Fries were really good. Onion rings average. Ordered chicken tenders for granddaughter, they had way too much pepper and they were burnt. Had to make her dinner. So I thought I would have a night off of cooking, by picking up food but because they decided to give me burnt food I still had to. Shame on the person who thought these were all right to serve a customer. Waited half hour for food at 3pm. Parking lot was empty. What took them so long, probably burning the chicken held them up. Skip this place.

Maybe it was the hype, but expectations were higher. Meat type was there, but it was quite dry. The people were very nice. I just wouldn’t put this at the top in the Scranton area nor in the Convo for best cheesesteak. But decent for a quick bite to eat

Steak sub was just as I was expecting. This is the best steak and cheese in town. Nothing compares unless they’re using these rolls. I will be back when I’m back in town. Service was what you would expect in a subshop. Atmosphere was like a subshop but cleaner. Needs a table or two. Food was great. Fry containers need some work to keep the fries crispy. Overall 9 out of 10!

I ordered a footlong cheese steak, a chicken cheese steak, and a large order of cheese fries all with their wiz cheese sauce. The regular cheese steak was tasty and had plenty of meat and I enjoyed it. My fiancé had the chicken cheesesteak that I tried as well and we both agree that the chicken could have had more flavor. The cheese fries were also decent, but the price didn’t seem to reflect the serving and there was a gross burnt fry in the mix. If everything we ordered was the same quality as the regular cheesesteak this review would be a 5/5, but sadly this wasn’t the case.

No frills, highly customizable, and delicious cheesesteaks on the outskirts of downtown Scranton! Would recommend if you’re in the mood for both traditional and non-traditional steaks.
