The restaurant must have changed ownership, for the large frontal sign was covered with a banner.

I found what I’ve been craving something real mexican and home made. The service was excellent and the atmosphere made me feel like home. The food was amazing I can not wait to come back and try more food from their menu. Thank you Cortez Brothers staff!

Great spot to go to. Low key hole in the wall. Very clean and small place but nice inside. Food was delicious and staff was friendly. Enjoyed the food and the prices

Very good MENUDO offered daily. They also serve with hand made tortillas. Home style Mexican cooking with seasoned cooks. Place has been recently renovated and feels clean. They also have new air conditioning unit to enjoy nice Mexican meal on a hot day in La Puente.

Wonderful little hole in the wall joint. Really good Mexican food. Taste like home made Mexican food. Not in the greatest area but we’ll worth the trip to eat here.

This was my review from 2017 … Great local authentic eatery. It has been open since the 70s, cozy and great value (Great food at relatively cheap prices). I go there at least once a week

It’s a small little place that does great tacos, burritos and a good variety of Mexican food. The fish cerviche on taco dish was really tasty and refreshing. Menudo soup was overly pungent for me but taste was actually very good. Definitely worth a visit.

Called in an order at 4:45 pm on Thursday. Got to the restaurant at 5pm and the order was not ready and they said no one called any order in. I called my wife to confirm I am at the correct restaurant. She called the number from her call history and indeed I was at the correct restaurant. My order mysteriously disappeared or was never taken. Anyway. I had to wait an additional ten minutes while they prepared my order. No big deal. Next time I will ask the name of who was taking my order on the phone.

Legit hole in the wall with excellent menu offerings. My meal was Machaca. Just as good as Casa Vega with better service. CV not tooo far away gets busy. Excellent coffee! This place is worth it.
