I really enjoyed supper at Cortese’s. We were celebrating a birthday. The service was excellent, even when we couldn’t all decide what we wanted right away. We ended up with 4 pizzas. I had stuffed pizza. It was amazing! At one point the owner came out and asked how everything was. I look forward to going back and trying some of the other options.

Cortese Restaurant and Banquet Hall is a really great place for really great food. Mama Filomena’s recipe menu item is one of my favorite recipes. It’s a Family owned and run restaurant. Staff is friendly and truly cares about your dining experience. The owner came out and greeted us at our table. We definitely will return again.

First time eating there tonite, won’t be back. The only 2 good things were the bread and my seasoned string beans. Baked cod was cooked with some stewed tomatoes, sooooo bland, no favor, needed seasoning. Macaroni gravy was with a somewhat burnt flavor like it had been sitting in pot way to long. Meatball was the size of a golfballl. I cook much better , sorry but it was not very good….

Cold inside, they didn’t turn up the heat until people arrived it seemed like. Quickly ran out of food and the guests were standing around waiting for it. The bathroom paper towel dispenser was empty and their solution was to put a role on the counter and it was even colder in the bathrooms. The pizza was good when it showed up. Seems like this Banquet Hall has never had a banquet before because it could not keep up.

This was a delightful experience. Entertainment was excellent and food was delicious and the servicev was pleasant . The local high school band students put on an awesome performance. Would love to go again. Had a great time overall.

Food is always great. I had the Friday fish fry and the fish was the best ever. The tossed salad with blue cheese crumbles is the way to ho. I was told by another diner that the clam chowder has hone downhill – don’tknow as i love the salad. Parking usually easy, service was a bit slow but seemed understaffed this night. Atmosphere is friendly. Did not see the owner this time, really enjoy seeing him.
