Bought 2 cappuccinos, an egg bowl and oatmeal early morning. I got one large cappuccino for myself and a small for my boyfriend, everything was amazing- the food was alright (though it was called “Bacon Avocado Egg Bowl” there was not a lot of bacon and more of tomatoes) but my boyfriend said the oatmeal didn’t taste fresh.

I have never experienced such consistent incompetence with an eatery. God forbid they get all your items for delivery. Picking up is pointless as well, they forget items and you have to wait for them to make them.

I went to Corner Bakery after a long day of shopping in the busy mall. I wasn’t given great service, there were two employees just standing around behind the counter not busy and I was in line waiting for someone to take my order… I had to initiate my order. I ordered a half sandwich and soup. My order was completely sloppy and messy, came wrapped in foil, the soup was bottom of the barrel. I was not happy as I usually receive great food and service from Corner Bakery. I wrote a review and messaged the store and the manager so kindly wrote me back and let me use his reply to an email for the whole meal comped. I went back a month later and got the same meal that was much better. I will say this location needs some loving, the drink area and the mats and the hallway to the bathroom seem all wet and soggy and moldy. Needs some recodifications, especially being inside such a nice luxury mall.

You would expect a stardard Corner Bakery experience no matter which location you visit, right? This review is in South Coast plaza, Costa Mesa. Avoid this Corner Bakery. It’s all to dirty and unkept. Drink station abandoned because no one cared. Dirty floor throughout. An unpleasant oder permeates the dining area making the scent the first thing you taste. All easy fixes. Not so easy a fix The staff needs retraining at the top The staff management and below has tarnished the brand and are doing so at record pace. Every customer facing employee here has failed upkeep and any attention to detail. There is no customer service or sense of pride in working here. South Coast plaza has constant traffic and this location should be kept up to a higher standard. I cannot recommended this location to anyone and will tell people to avoid this location to save them from the negative experience they will have here.

We waited awhile as two employees chatted about the days work, when another came to the register and asked us if we were ready, we replied yes and began to order. The employee immediately asked us to hold on while she did something behind the register, it appeared she was logging in or something. When we ordered she struggled to understand and this took several attempts before she appeared to understand us.
