I visited Cornbread as a dine in and to my surprise found it to be a hidden jewel. From the very beginning of my experience to the very end, I was delighted. The customer service was very friendly and professional. The cashier and servers were courteous, attentive, and professional. I chose to eat on the upper level where my food was bought to my table. Not only did the food presentation look good, but it smelled and tasted amazing. It was such a delight to have the owner and legendary cook come out to greet us with a warm welcome and smile. We enjoyed the food, conversation, and ambiance in totality. Great place to get authentic Southern food in a great environment. It felt like home. Thank you Zadie

I have been past this business in the past but never got the chance to give it a try. I was happy to finally give it a try. When I arrived I parked in their private lot. I walked in and ordered with a nice lady. There was an upstairs and downstairs so the place is pretty big.

My husband ordered chicken, blackeye peas and collards. I ordered catfish with Mac n cheese and potato salad. The presentation was excellent. Everything looked very appetizing however; if you know authentic southern soul food and have a craving for it, do not even do it to yourself. Go somewhere else or order the fish and cornbread and you won’t be disappointed. The flavor and texture of the sides are off in my opinion. It’s not terrible, it just doesn’t hit home when you want authentic southern soul food. The servers are very hospitable, and attentive. The dining area was tidy. I won’t be returning only because their side dishes are not seasoned to my liking and sides are what I enjoy the most.

Cornbread was an amazing experience, coma inducing soul food. Fresh, crispy chicken and delicious sides. Even the sweet tea is freshly made.

Let me start this off by saying the food was AMAZING. The staff was so lovely and the manager was just great. I didn’t get her name but she took the time to get to know each customer. I give this place a 10/10

Just Amazing! this was my first time eating at Cornbread and honey… it won’t be my last. The food was so good, the atmosphere was very warm and welcoming. Me and my family stopped by before my sons football game and I kid you not once the game was over we went back for more food. Truly a great first experience

Fried chicken was average, the baked chicken was good. The mac and cheese lacked some seasoning, the yams were good. The place itself it very nice and has plenty of parking in the back. Overall it was okay.

I moved to NC and when I come up I try to stop by and pick up lunch or dinner. I would have given it a 5 star but my only issue was the Mac and cheese. It was very dry and all I ate was pasta (so where is the cheese) the catfish was always on point and this time I got the cabbage (very tasty)I also get 2 uptown’s which is always consistent I. Taste.
