4 stars for food, really 3 for service and 3 for price. Let me explain. The dishes were delicious. Trying the different plates makes me excited to come back. This is why I put 4 stars. For the price, I would say it is slightly over priced. In Fredericksburg, you’re paying high dollar and so therefore you will be reviewed as such. I went for my 11 year anniversary and our expectations were in a curious level more than anything. We felt super rushed. The next meal and the next pairing were served while we were still working on the previous plate and pairing. With the different courses, you only got 1 fork and 1 knife. When finished with a course, I left my dirty fork on the plate hoping for a clean one on the next dish and instead the server asked me to grab my fork. I wouldn’t be this picky but for the price we paid, I expect better service and etiquette. 3 course pairing with a 12% tip came out to be $112 per person. I understand supply and demand and food costs. Go ahead and charge that amount, but please improve the service. That being said, the pairing was delightful. The wines were not fancy and they didn’t need to be because they were delicious! Definitely give them a try!

Ate here for an anniversary. We did the chef’s menu with wine pairings. The entire experience was great. The staff was friendly and informative. The food was amazing and there was not one wine we did not like. Definitely pricey, but worth it.

Absolutely fantastic from start to finish. The chef’s tasting menu is well worth your time (1.5 hours from sit down to bill). Wine pairings were perfect.

I truly cannot believe that we we were treated the way we were at this establishment. Made an 8:00 reservation days before, and the day of I received an email saying our reservation was cancelled. I should have taken this as a sign, as we did still have a reservation and the experience was wretched. We both chose the 4 course meal with wine pairing $91 each. We chose the crab and corn chowder which had a very watery consistency, but the wine was good. The salad choice was very good. Moving in to the main course of Wagyu filet mignon, the debacle ensued. The steak was over cooked (ordered medium rare) and was drenched in an over-salted gravy, with a blob of similarly over salted mashed potatoes and a small pile of over seasoned and mushy cauliflower. The food was brought to the table with NO silverware. At no time did the waitress (or any of the wait staff) check on our table to see if everything was done properly etc. or even if we needed anything else. When we flagged down a staff member we advised of the overcooked steak. He stated that they would provide a new meal, however moments later the “chef” appeared and said he was sorry the steak was not to our liking, but that the kitchen was already closed. So regardless of the $30 credit to the bill, I went home without an entree. When I inquired about why the kitchen would close while there were still customers the chef decided that he would reply with obvious frustration instead of apologies. The original waitress never came back to our table, as unprofessional as she was from the start, and the restaurant actually turned off nearly all the lights before we even left. Furthermore, another patron even stopped at our table to tell us that he agreed with our statements to the chef of the overly salty “sauce.” This restaurant should in no way be touting any type of service above the standard Olive Garden repertoire, unless they do a major overhaul of staff, CHEF, and overall service. This place, and the Chef, are a joke. I will make sure that everyone that I know understands the failure of this restaurant, and the deplorable way they treat their customers. Without customers, you have NO business. For a proper dining experience of the same price point, go to Fahrenheit.

Delicious, quality food for foodes. My wife and I each had a four course meal. Everything was amazing. The lamb, the scallops, the soups, the salads were all perfect. The toffee pudding is one of the best desserts in Fredericksburg. The wait staff were polite, attentive, and knowledgeable of the food and ingredients.

!!!Update…3 years later. We finally made it back but unfortunately it was NOT the same amazing experience. We decided to go with the 4 course. Food was excellent until the dessert round. I ordered a dark chocolate pudding that tasted like it has been in the fridge for a little while. My wife ordered a warm pudding that I am not sure how it was made when kitchen staff had left. We saw our server in the beginning, and that was it. He had left for the day. Thing that did it for me were nats at the restaurant. We literally saw 15 to 20 of them on the window where we were sitting. I even found a couple in my wine. We mentioned it to a staff member and was told who doesn’t like wine.

We ate here last night. First time and the staff was very attentive and efficient. The food was incredible. My spouse is vegan and normally gets the choice of beyond burger, dry salad or a curry dish. He had a full blown menu to choose from. He loved his vegan pea risotto, cannellini spread, espresso dessert and portobello salad. I’m the reverse and had the crab Sherry soup, wagyu medallions, portobello salad and parfait. The wine selection is very impressive. My only (not very important) suggestion is to play some low music in the background. Best meal in FXBG we have had and so nice that they have such an inclusive menu for those with health issues or vegan/veg/gluten preference

I came across Cork and Table via Google. Saw that there was an appealing ‘prefix’ full dinner and wine tasting menu. The layout is a bit confusing, but after asking the right questions I found myself “on the wine bar side, but with the prefix menu”. The food was good (3 courses, including a 5 oz. waygu filet) my gripe is with the price per pour. On top of my 50$ food, I was charged 37$ for (3) 2 Oz. Pours of wine that I know isn’t crazy expensive or exclusive.

It’s a good quality restaurant, even if it’s pricey for downtown Fredericksburg, it’s worth it for a special night. Though with the new tasting room/ bar, it’s a lot more affordable, with options for a quick appetizer and glass of wine.

I don’t toss this word around frivolously, however in this case. My experience at Cork and Table was amazing, the staff was attentive, the food was amazing; the Butter Squash soup was a taste of fall in a bowl. The Sauteed “Wagyu” medallions melted in my mouth, the mashed potatoes were perfectly done as were the green beans. My fiancee had the Asian Stew with Shrimp, she was more than impressed with the flavor profile and balance of the dish.
