Best BBQ i have found at a restaurant, period. This is our second trip in a year, both times out of our way. We tried the beef ribs and prime ribs this time.. absolutely awesome. Af course we got pork ribs and brisket too which are very good.

Neat concept of getting your meats outside first before you go inside to get your sides. I was impressed by the amount of smokers they had. The jalapeño cheese sausage was juicy and easy to chew. The coleslaw and Mac n cheese were descent. The peach cobbler was a little too sweet for me but my family liked it. Overall a good eating experience.

Outstanding central Texas BBQ. The overall experience in my opinion is much better than their satellite location in Austin. Nice way of serving the meats from the outdoor warmer. Amazing brisket and beef ribs. The sausage was only ok – I would not have that again. The chicken was good but the beef options are the real stars here. Free beans as well. It’s a nice trip to visit in conjunction with the town of Llano and the river.

I have always loved this location in Llano. From walking to the pit, picking your meat and choosing to get it sauced or not, to waking inside and picking your sides.

If I had to rank Texas Barbecue, I would put Cooper’s in my top 10 or even top 5. There are many things that they are the best at in general. And they stand apart among northwest hill country, which is distinctly different from other Texas barbecue. You will not find better barbecued chicken anywhere. It is perfectly smoked and tender. Beans are a focus in northwest hill country barbecue and Cooper’s also excels at this staple. Their mac and cheese is also among the best you will find. You can’t go wrong with anything they offer. But these are the things that really make them stand above.

Awesome BBQ. This was my first time getting Texas style bbq in Texas. I don’t have anything authentic to compare it to, but I can’t imagine bbq getting much better than this. You walk right up to where the meat is being cooked and pick what you want. I got beef ribs, pork ribs, jalapeño cheese sausage, and brisket. You go inside and they weigh each item and you pick sides. I got potato salad. You pay per pound for meat. Then you find your seat and go get beans. They have great pinto beans with a small amount of spice. There’s also sauce, white bread, pickled jalapeños and pickles for free. The meat is seasoned with just salt and pepper. It’s pretty salty alone, but perfect when paired with all the sides. I heard good things about this place and drove over an hour each way just to get some. It was worth it.

This by far my favorite BBQ joint I’ve been to. The meat is to die for and I love their baked potatos.

Epic BBQ. It’s definitely worth a trip to Llano, and especially if you just passing through… we had the brisket, half chicken, and jalapeño cheese sausage. I was a little bummed they were out of turkey, but they made up for it. Mac & cheese is also fantastic and the peach cobbler is legendary. Well done Cooper’s. We’ll be back.

Wow their BBQ is so far the best I’ve ever had. We were driving cross country with our dog and found this hidden gem. The ribs was sooo good, the fat was so savory and it melted in my mouth. The brisket was soft and delicious! They didn’t have a regular bbq sauce but their sauce is so much better. On top of that, they have tables outside right across the restaurant and we were able to enjoy lunch with our golden.

Was nervous when we arrived at 11:45 on a Friday and seen a long line out the front door. We’ve been to the location in Ft. Worth and never had to wait long in a line, but this one was pretty long! It didn’t take too long though and we were at the pit picking out our choice meats, then inside picking out our sides, and sitting down all within 30 mins of parking the car. I’m fairly certain there was 20+ people in line in front of us, so I feel it moved rather quickly! This is a lot smaller restaurant than the other locations, so finding a seat can be rather challenging at peak times as well! Absolutely love the pork ribs, mac & cheese and the apple cobbler! Their BBQ is the absolute best by far, and their pork ribs are the best I’ve ever had!
