I am way too old to go to a college bar…. But my son graduated last weekend and wanted us all to go there. Smoking is allowed indoors (ew), the floor has a constant stickiness to it (to be expected), the bartenders kept calling me ma’am (ouch), BUT it was a great experience. Fun atmosphere, good food, and great (cheap!) drinks. Need a little more wine choices for the old ladies like me that come in, but I didn’t expect them to have any, so having 2 choices worked for me.

It pains me to write this review because Cool Beans will always be my top college spot in Knoxville, but something has to be said about their draft beer. For some reason, the draft beer always tastes absolutely terrible. Flatter and a distinct off flavor, no matter the choice of beer. It has to be something so do with the lines, setup, etc. Luckily they always have a vast selection of canned beverages and a great atmosphere.
