Overall great fast food place. The food and prices were great. Customer service was decent. The only issue was the wait time. We went late night and there was a long line. It was at a stand still for about 30+ minutes. Maybe they weren’t expecting the rush. However once it started moving, it was pretty fast.

Worst cookout we have ever been to. They took about 45 minutes to give us our food. The chicken sandwiches were made incorrectly and the chicken was extremely over cooked. They have a walk up window but said they were only doing drive through orders. Not very friendly workers.

For the money this place is really good honestly. I usually go for the barbecue style chicken sandwich plate that comes with two sides. Which I will say the meat on the sandwich may be about it 4 ounces so it’s relatively small. The chicken nuggets are cheap but could be better. I do like their milkshakes as well probably the best thing they have. The fact that they are open late is also a place of you’re a late night person like myself.

My food was ill-prepared. 1st time and not planning to return. I had high hopes because my NC friends always rave about cookout. Maybe Jackson location is just a miss. My hotdog bun was hard and rubbery. They were out of onion rings, and the cashier informed me that they ran out 2 days ago but assured me they were good . My cheerwine wasn’t anything to write home about, and the fries were overcooked. We purchased 3 meals and all were misses. Just wasn’t going to attempt to get them to remedy it because the line was long, and I was traveling.

I usually get burgers here, which are great by the way. This time I ordered a bbq pulled pork sandwich. It comes with a side, I got onion rings, and coleslaw. The sandwich didn’t have much bbq sauce, but, the flavor of the meat was so good I didn’t need much. I usually love lots of sauce because the meat isn’t seasoned enough as most places. This pork was banging on its on however. The onion rings were crispy and had sweet onions. Coleslaw was on point, southern style. AND the ladies at the counter were sweet as pie. Definitely check this place out if you are in the area 🙂

We’re from Oklahoma & we were just staying the night in Jackson and decided to stop in here for a bite. The prices were what caught my eye! I wish we had one of these in Oklahoma!!! I wouldn’t say that the food was amazing, but for a little place to get food on a budget I was amazed!! I got the BBQ plate & wow!! I’m impressed! The food was fresh, the portion sizes were good, the milkshake was YUMMY & the cashier was sooo friendly!! I hope the people of Jackson will support this little business and see what a gem it is and keep them going!! Well done, cook out!!

If I could put a -8 stars I fn would! Who in their right mind serves someone food like this! Who in their right mind serves food this way Cajun chicken sandwich burnt! Please don’t eat here! The fact that I took a bite out of a burnt chicken sandwich disgusted me!!!! Never again will I eat here and I will make sure no one I knows does!!!!
