Visiting a family member in North Carolina and opted to try Cook Out. Was pleasantly surprised as the place was pretty empty on a Sunday night. However, I was impressed with the price point for the meals as well as the speed in which we got our food. I got a chili cheeseburger and French fries which were pretty good. However, the onion rings were not a item I would choose again as they formed onion rings (leftover onions ground together) rather than true onion rings. Family members got a variety of different meals and I was told everything else (various hamburgers) were fairly good even though they were slightly overcooked. Will visit again if I am in the area.

I haven’t eaten fast food in over 8 months. I caved last night because we were hungry and it was one of the only places open. I will not cave again. I will wait till the next day for an actual restaurant to open. From the start the woman was rude. Kept interrupting me in a rude tone “IS that all?” First off what are you in such a rush for? It’s your job. Do it. Maybe if you’d listen I wouldn’t have to keep saying “no. I also want this.” Making it take even longer. If you don’t want to work then stay your miserable self home! I used to work in fast food 12 years ago before I opened my own business. I have never treated any of the customers like this. Ever. I’m honestly surprised that they were able to top off the bad experience I had a year ago before I stopped eating fast food. But at last they managed to do just that. Asked for two fries with Cajun seasoning. No Cajun seasoning. And fries weren’t even cooked. Literally some were still cold. How hard is it to fry fries? I ensure you it’s not. Asked for chicken strips. I wasn’t given them. But you can bet they still charged me for it. I was given a chicken wrap with one single piece of lettuce two strands of cheese and a sauce that looked like a bodily fluid. Disgusting. So glad I opened it and looked beforehand. Asked for a hot dog with chili cheese and coleslaw. They put it in side ways so it leaked all over and the bread was just mush and fell apart. Even if they had taken the two seconds it takes to put it in correctly. There was only maybe a teaspoons worth of coleslaw on the hot dog. So what’s the point of charging people extra when you don’t even give them what they asked for? The only thing that was correct was the corn dog. It amazes me what they did. I mean truly. It’s not that hard to make fast food. It’s also not hard to be polite. Cookout do you make a requirement for the workers to be rude and nasty to the customers and mess up the orders? Cause the past year when I went once. It was the same experience as this one a year later. Never again. Not just because I don’t like fast food. But I wouldn’t eat this mess even if I was starving. Seriously. Y’all need to look into the manager of this location as well cause they clearly don’t care at all. Y’all are a joke.

For this price, I wouldn’t care as long as I filled my belly. The burgers are delicious, fries are good, chili dog goes good with the shake. Super cheap and clean. Can’t beat it with this economy. Feed the masses for $25. Wish we had these in Kentucky.

Hello, friends & family of CookOut! Today was my first dining experience, and it was definitely a pleasure. The young lady taking my order, ‘Ramsey,’ was wonderful! She seemed very optimistic which is something you don’t see a lot in the working youth of today. She was very patient with me, and even complimented my earrings! Besides the delicious hamburger and cajun fries, she definitely made my day. Thank you ‘Ramsey!’

this location is usually quick, fresh and friendly but tonight (5/23/23) this was not the case. an older woman i’ve never seen before with heavy makeup and tattoos took my order and was extremely rude, didn’t even acknowledge me saying hello & thank you multiple times. i don’t expect 5 star service at fast food restaurants but a simple “how are you” goes a long way. the diet coke happened to be out and i don’t like being difficult but that’s the only soda i drink, she asked me if i wanted something else and when i told her no thanks, i don’t mind waiting she rolled her eyes and closed the window on me. i’ve had to change out soda syrup before and it takes 5 minutes max, if they were busy i would have just cut my losses but i was the only person in line and i don’t think it’s that big of a deal to get the product i asked and paid for. on top of it all they couldn’t be bothered to put the cajun seasoning on the fries tonight. none of that would have been a big deal however if the cashier was nicer about it.

The employee had no patients with taking our order. We ordered almost $100 worth of food for the whole family, everybody’s order was wrong. The food count was off on the nuggets, about 5 fries in the box, and the burgers weren’t complete. The boy at the window had the worst customer service as if he didn’t want to be at work.. never going back, definitely don’t recommend

They have so many different shakes that it is almost impossible to pick one, so I get two at a time. One day, I will complete the entire list. A quick burger and sides without breaking the bank. This is the place. May not be a five-star kinda burger, but worth the price.

First timers here. From the moment we walked in the door to the moment we left, our experience was a positive one. Customer service was super friendly our food was presented to us hot and delicious with a smile and a thank you. As a French fry connoisseur, I highly recommend trying these spuds! The restaurant was clean the atmosphere was welcoming and comfortable. Will be back for more!

I have never met more incompetent workers in my life. I think I lost brain cells watching these employees give us the wrong order and then help 6 other people before they got around to actually fixing their mistake with ours. New joke, how many cook out employees does it take to screw in a light bulb? The joke is I am sure they don’t even know how. It’s a miracle this place is open.

Tonight, the girl who took our order rushed us & was rude, didn’t bother to wait for us to order drinks, even though I waited at the station for an extra couple of minutes asking to order drinks, so we didn’t get any. They forgot a part of our order & this was my daughter’s chicken quesadilla… it’s not even chicken & this was all that was in there. Absolutely awful all the way around. Never again.
