I ordered a vanilla milkshake and got a cup of soft serve ice cream . I went back and employee said that’s how the make it no milk and don’t mix it how is it a milk shake with just ice cream no mixing no milk involved if I want to soft serve ice cream I would have went to Dairy Queen…

Little Ole Shallotte has grown a lot in the past 30 years of leaving here, Cook Out has been one of the best decision our little town could have made ! Milk Shake and a slice of cheese cake topped with every night before closing is my sweet treat everyday this place ; ) Service is always pleasant it’s nice to go somewhere right before closing and not feel uncomfortable. I appreciate y’all keep up the amazing costumer service no matter what time of the ☀️/ ;)!☮️

It’s really disheartening when you get excited for a classic take out restaurant to open in your area…you anticipate the standard of food…to be comparable to Wilmington’s locations…and then it’s the worst!! I ordered takeout tray chicken quesidilla..altho its from a place known for burgers and shakes…I just love the chicken quesadilla..they are cheesy the chicken is decent..with some kind sauce..with a bit of a spicy kick!! …but not at shallote’s location…it must have been cooked to order..and then reheated because that cheesy just enough of this..an just enough of that taste I love…was all dried out and incrusted into the hard..dry tortilla…they had a chance to get it right 3 times..because I had 3 separately wrapped chicken quesadillas and a corn dog… I could barely choke down the first one..the only thing edible was the corndog…and even then..you could tell by the color..it had been cooked-OUT of its freashness..sitting under a heat lamp..or popped in a microwave. It really baffles me that if this location ..is a franchised run location…why not make sure your employees are trained right..or pay them enough to care..about their final food product they sell to a customer. A cookout in brunswick County seems like a great opportunity to make bank amounts of $$$$$ ..there’s a need around here for more options since..AND BEFORE covid struck. But no one is going to return after the initial wave of customers ..if the food is bad!!

Every time we go they mess up something and I understand if it was one thing but EVERYTIME is crazy like one time I ordered a watermelon milkshake and I got a vanilla like what? And we got a fries but they were supposed to be Cajun fries

I do actually love going to this restaurant at least once a week and we make it a point to visit and get a decently cheap meal that’s actually filling. The lines always move fast our orders are always correct and most of the time the cashiers are friendly. Every now and then you get a cashier and you can tell hate being there but fair it’s pretty understandable as a fast food job and one that is so busy and is consistently moving out food so quickly I would probably not always be the happiest as well. But either way it’s not enough to deter anybody and they’ve never actually been rude so all in all a really good story with really good food and definitely worth checking out

Ordered two trays that were the exact same thing and one was totally diffrent. My fault for not checking. But when I go to eat the order that I actually wanted they put pickles on it when I specifically said no pickles twice. I am very disgruntled since I’ve always had good service up until tonight. Saddened to say that will be my last trip to cookout.
