Love The Cookout. Used to eat here all the time in NC and was thrilled to see it come to West Virginia. Their food is really good and you can’t beat a BBQ or cheeseburger tray with 2 sides of many options and a large drink. And their portions aren’t standard. They are larger. If you like milkshakes, you only have about 50 flavors to choose from. Good luck. I haven’t had a bad one yet.

Dirty and run down. We visited an older location in NC just days prior that had a much cleaner restaurant and the people were friendlier down south. This location needs some help in the management department to get things back on track. Our order was messed up twice. And our order originally got skipped as they called out order numbers. That with the dirty counters and food on the floor in the kitchen clearly visible from the lobby, the bathroom was disgusting . When brought to the attention of an employee they said they would tell their manager, we sat and ate for 45 mins and no manager ever addressed any of our concerns.

The food is good but I would suggest drive thru service. Eating in is lacking as you are bombarded with Christian indoctrination. Don’t get me wrong I know everyone has the freedom but it was overwhelming here. I just wanted to eat a burger, not be converted.

Fast and accurate most importantly…delicious! A single or double burger on tray is the same price! My favorite choice of 2 sides are onion rings and hush puppies. Grandson loves the fried white cheddar cheese curds and fried okra and every thick milkshake! I love the massive sweet tea in ice that is so fine you could make a snow cone with it!

Came through the drive thru for the first time ever trying cookout. The cashier was polite and helpful. He was willing to and did explain how their meals are set up, what all the sides were and what would cost extra if we wanted them. The food was great! Restaurant style food which was definitely not what we expected. The customer service we received here was top notch!
