I absolutely love Common Oven and so does my husband. Anytime we can sneak off to eat the delicious fare that they put together we do. From the absolutely amazing grilled cheese with those tomatoes omgerrrsh don’t get me started about the roasted tomatoes!! Then the pizza, where to begin. Wood fired perfect every time. House made mozzarella (which I was lucky enough to purchase a block of, best mozzarella I might have ever had). Do we even want to discuss the focaccia you can get fresh baked and the olive oil lemon cake. Ok clearly you can see the list of amazing food is long. When your there you can also grab a cold drink from Strange Roots. If you haven’t been yet don’t walk run and support this local business!!!

I just ordered online from here for the first time, and it was excellent! I think it might be the best pizza I’ve ever had tbh.. Truly a gem to have in New Kensington! I really enjoyed the atmosphere of the outdoor area, and inside Strange Roots too!

Excellent!!! The quality of the dough, sauce, cheese, pepperoni and sausage is outstanding. Not pictured is the bread that we got earlier in the day. Also amazing. Common Oven Pizza is filling a void in the area for this type of product.

This pizza is amazing! I highly recommend it. I don’t eat cheese or meat, so I need pizza that has both crust and sauce with real flavor. The tomato pie fit the bill! Topped with a bunch of veggies, it made a perfect couple meals for me. The rest of family also enjoyed the red pies with some meat and cheese on them. Perfect wood-fired pizzas. If I’m ever in the area again, I will get pizza from Common Oven.

So good! You can tell that they are really dedicated to making and serving delicious food. Ingredients are stellar and fresh. The cheese is so good with the hot honey! Yum . This is a must visit place for sure!

Located within Strange Roots, what goes better with beer than pizza??? We don’t often eat pizza, but if you are going to have a cheat day this pizza is hands down some of the best! From the fresh made day, to the from scratch cheese and the unique combos of toppings, you can’t go wrong! The ricotta & arugula with hot honey was an delicious flavor combo. We also got an arugula salad with a flavorful vinaigrette that just coated the salad and was more than enough for 2 people. You can order online and do pick up if you don’t want to hang at the brewery!

Ordered a pizza and sandwich for dinner while enjoying a beer at Strange Roots. Pizza was excellent. Very tasty. One of my new favorites in the area. Build your own pizza or choose from some pre designed pizzas. Excellent flavor and ingredients. We frequent yellow bridge for their beer and pizza as well but will def add this into our mix as well!

I am so grateful to have this spot in town!!! Everything they make is so, so good. Just tried the Italian sandwich, and it’s easily the best sandwich I’ve had in Pittsburgh! Brought home some bagels for breakfast, can’t wait to try them. Thank you for the delicious, fresh, handmade food!
