Common Ground (formerly Javasana) is a neighborhood coffee and smoothie shop located in historic downtown Hartwell, Georgia. We have moved to a new location at 28 S. Carolina Street and have expanded our menu offerings. We offer coffee, espresso drinks, smoothies, tea and frappes. Ice Cream and Candy are coming soon. Vegan options are also available.
We have a terrific outdoor patio and fire pit area, as well as inside seating.

We moved to Hartwell about seven months ago. This is a good coffee shop. The staff is always respectful and helpful. The one thing they could better is, be consistent with the food. One day they have something the next day they do not. Croissants are small for the price and is something they will have one day and be out of the next. Oh, and use Torani Dark Chocolate Sauce in your mocha’s it will make them less sweet and more like a real European mocha. Just a thought.

can’t stand hartwell because i love coffee and there aren’t a lot of coffee shops, but this place opened and i enjoy it, cute environment and friendly employees 🙂 i get something different every time and all the drinks are good

This has been the best dining experience I’ve ever had. I got the barrel cut filet and a dulce de leches flan for dessert. My grandma got a salmon filet and a guava creme brulee for dessert. All 4 dishes were prepared beautifully and tasted heavenly. We will definitely be coming back.

This place is super cute! We love their Boba Teas! PLEASE start making the actual Boba Milk Teas (especially honeydew)!!!! We came from atl and we’re obsessed but there’s no where up here that makes them. We would literally come every single week, multiple times a week if you added them to the menu!!! They’re also a big trend right now so I’m sure they’d sell with the younger crowd

I use to be a huge Starbucks fan but since my family and I have known about common ground we only go there. Sometimes 2x a week. Their smoothies are one of our favorites. Our girls love their bubble tea and lemonades.
