food was pretty good. the staff was super sweet and timely, they all work as a team rather than one server serving separate tables. the flavor of the food was great but none of it was warm. tacos aren’t normally served hot but even my sides were less than room temperature

I first visited this restaurant with a group of colleagues. I enjoyed it so much that I took my husband there the next evening. The food was delicious–quality ingredients perfectly seasoned and prepared. Wait staff were extremely pleasant and attentive. The rooftop space is delightful–comfortable with lovely views. We passed through the main restaurant, and while it was a bit loud for us seniors, the liveliness was fun.

Food and atmosphere were very good, service on the other hand was disappointing. Our group of 4 people was asked to leave 90 minutes into our dinner before we were even done with our drinks because another party was waiting. This is not the right way to treat your clients.

Price point is a little higher but the tacos were delicious. Especially the pineapple pork shoulder one. There is a nice selection of different sides you can get to complete your taco platter as well which is really nice. Their chips and salaa are pretty good too. Waitress was super friendly and attentive and swiftly corrected the issue when a problem arose with one of our orders. Only negative aspect from the experience was the food was a little slow to come out when they weren’t that busy. But that is easy to overlook given the overall positive experience!

Met a friend here for a margarita date night and had a wonderful time! Our server made some excellent recommendations and everything was delicious. The specialty margs were SO good (I had mango and my friend had guava), and the tajin rim was a great touch. Decor and ambience is really nice as well. Hours on the map listing are accurate.

Another great rooftop restaurant in Evanston! Loved their food! The only problem I had was when sitting upstairs on the rooftop, there were lots of bees and flys everywhere. It really was annoying and definitely got in the way of enjoying our meal, but that can’t be helped by the staff! Will definitely sit inside next time. Indoor has a cute vibe too.

Comida is a fantastic restaurant with attentive, friendly staff and a great menu. The food is wonderful and they always have my favorite beer on tap. The chicken tacos are phenomenal. I highly recommend this restaurant. If you are headed to a Northwestern football game or basketball game from out of town make sure you get to Comida before you head down to the game. Enjoy!

honestly I wouldn’t recommend at all. it’s nice that they do have vegan options but the food is nasty. was excited to try based on reviews. rice is soggy and under seasoned. I accidentally got mushroom tacos and they were really salty. veggie fajitas under seasoned flavorless. not worth the money at all and I won’t be back
