what happened to this place? This was the worst pizza I’ve had in long time. tasted like undercooked dough with tomatoe puree right out of the can, no flavor, under cooked onions and broccoli! a mess, tossed it in the trash. But at least they got the order right this time. Not the case the last three times. This used to be a great place! Not any more..

Walked in, ordered sausage sub and eggplant parm sub for our dinner. Waited a reasonable amount of time, took the sandwiches home. While the tomato sauce is still good, the sandwiches were barely lukewarm and one of the rolls was stale on one end. OK, stuff happens. That evening I called to comment and left a message. No response. Used to be a reliable place to get well-made sandwiches and pasta–disappointing that it has gone downhill.

Comella’s in West Newton use to be SO good. It’s God awful. I am so disappointed every time I go there. Today, I ordered the lasagna and ziti for $14. I got a 1 in x 1 in square of lasagna and it was burnt on two sides! I can’t believe I was served something like this! Lately when you order the pizza it’s too doughy and they hardly put any cheese on the pizza. When I order the cop salad they never cook the bacon even when you asked for them to cook the bacon. They still don’t cook the bacon.

Very little seating. Even less parking. Garlic bread is $0.75 a piece and it’s tougher than shoe-leather at the crust. Food is not bad. Red sauce doesn’t seem like it’s homemade. Best to get takeout from here not sit in

Awesome little place! This is our go-to take-out Italian spot! The portions are generous and prices very reasonable! I always get the veal parm with fusilli…$11.99! Great price and it’s delicious!!! My parents recently had Comella’s with us and were impressed! They are pretty picky when it comes to Italian and they were very satisfied with their chicken parm and eggplant parm. We’ve also had the cannolis, which they fill to order for freshness…yes! Yummy yummy! Highly recommend this place!
