Wow! Such a unique and friendly place in Hillsboro. They have a full breakfast/lunch menu!

Pretty good breakfast spot if you’re looking to support local and find something with great quality. Price for a bagel sandwich did surprise us a little but that may just be the reality of what we’re faced with anymore. What was $8 is now $10-$11 for a lot of places. In any case, before I sound too old, the quality of the bagels were immaculate, and ingredients were rich and tasty. Problem is that they were an absolute mess to eat.

Newly discovered (for me) and a perfect secret gem of Hillsboro. I feel like I’m in one of my old boutique bodegas in NYC – all the sundries, amazing breakfast sandwiches (bagels), and what seems to be undiscovered potential within the kitchen.

Was a great spot when they first opened. They make a true nyc style bacon, egg and cheese on a bagel. The problem is half the time they can’t pick up the phone to place an order. I’ve never worked in a restaurant or fast casual spot where this would be acceptable but at this place if they have a few customers they just ignore the phone when it rings. I love East coast style food, but I love East coast hustle way more than west coast chill

A great piece of the downtown Hillsboro business community. This place has a mix of local fresh fruits and veggies, prepared foods, dining in and take out. They have ample seating both indoors and outdoors. They aren’t inexpensive, but they have unique options that are top quality. If you haven’t given them a try, you are missing out. See for yourself what a local market/eatery can be!

Over the past few years I’ve spent thousands of dollars (I did the math) having snacks, meals, and shopping at Collective Market. I enjoy the atmosphere and local ingredients and products but am continually disappointed with my experience. There is no consistency in how staff prepare food, no one seems to know the menu or have any service industry knowledge (cannot provide recommendations on draft beers, unsure of ingredients for things they make in house), sometimes bagel chips are included, sometimes they aren’t. It really seems like staff need professional guidance on how to run a line, make a drink, cut a sandwich.

I want to love Collective Market. The idea is wonderful, the food can be great when it’s done right, and it’s a short walk from my house. BUT, since it opened my wife and I have been frequenting this place (3-5 times a month) and I consistently have issues with my order and/or service. From small issues like not cutting my sandwich in half even though I asked when I ordered, to bigger issues like undercooked pancakes, missing items, or forgetting to renew their liquor license, there always seems to be something that’s not quite right. I’m all for paying extra for the atmosphere and good ingredients, but I just can’t keep spending my money here when the staff has been consistently missing the mark. I had hoped it was just a new business figuring it’s stuff out, but it just hasn’t gotten better. I want them to succeed, but they need to get someone in there that knows how to run a kitchen, get orders out accurately and in a timely manner, and train their employees to know the menu and how to interact with customers better. I truly hope you get it together before all the new businesses arrive on main street.
