This place has ruined catfish for me because I won’t be able to eat anywhere else and enjoy it as much as I did here. I have never eaten catfish as good as the one here. It is a small place with a huge heart. The sides are amazing as well. There is plenty of room to sit outside and enjoy the summer nights!

If you remember the Coffee Landing on Lake Paestine; this is the same family, same quality, and taste (just a more laid back atmosphere). If you don’t remember this is a must try. The best Fried and boiled seafood in East Texas. Good prices too. Crawfish only $4.99/lb yesterday.

They offer “boiled” seafood here the shrimp was good and boiled correctly but the crab was horrible.. it was over cooked, couldn’t even crack the shells and it was like they boiled it in butter not water with seasoning.. some people might like that but they need to have an option if they want it boiled in water with seasoning or butter and no flavor..

The crawfish was really good, I wish I would have ordered extra potatoes cause I absolutely love the potatoes cooked with the crawfish you can’t get no better eating, and I just loved the atmosphere of being outside with the hand washing vats and the buckets to throw the shells away in, Cause you can’t get quite messy eating some good crawfish but it’s oh so worth it!!

The beans were seriously the best I’ve ever eaten and the shrimp was pretty good. Unfortunately, the catfish was not good at all. Would love to see this place succeed. If you are using belly meat, that could be the problem. It’s cheaper, but it’s slimy. Loved the venue.

First time there this evening. Everything was excellent! Catfish, shrimp, potatoes, fries, and hush puppies were all fantastic! And, the banana pudding was great also. We’ll definitely be going back there again!

Last week it was awesome – best catfish ever, so this week, also on Friday, I went and ordered the same thing. I am considering not going back. The catfish was very thin and overcooked – more like catfish Jerry. The hushpuppies, like last week, need flavor – more onion and garlic powder. Jalapeños taste good in hushpuppies, too. Cole slaw was good – sweet – not vinegar. Don’t think I will take a chance on another meal like this one. They are not consistent.
