Past this place on our way home from a trip to Brenham a couple of weeks ago. I made note of it and mentioned to my husband that we need to check it out. Today was that day and let me tell you it did not disappoint! My husband had the chicken fried chicken and mashed potatoes. It came with a salad (homemade ranch). I had the fried shrimp with remoulade and and order of onion rings. Both dishes were phenomenal in our opinion. We are already planning to stop on our next trip in the area. Everything is homemade. Charlie & Eileen are very friendly and so is the rest of the staff. Now if fancy is your thing then keep going, but if you want some good ole hospitality and great food this is your place. Ohh and did I mention the desserts are homemade as well Our first time there, BUT it won’t be our last!!

We had the pleasure of dining at this charming restaurant with our dear friends Tom and Jhonyne. The restaurant boasts a rustic, country-store aesthetic that adds to its unique charm. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, making it a perfect spot to enjoy a delicious meal. The restaurant is family-owned and operated, and you will be greeted by the warm hospitality of the husband and wife team. The Rib-eye steaks are a must-try and absolutely delicious. But if you’re in the mood for something lighter, the Grilled Shrimp Salad is equally delightful. We can’t wait to return for our next visit and indulge in more of their delectable dishes.

This is the most charming place!! Well worth the trip out, it’s a beautiful drive from Brenham. The food is excellent and plentiful. They had excellent music and the best atmosphere, made you feel so welcome. It’s a wonderful adventure ♥️ Please go try, you won’t regret

Even while CenterPoint worked on their electrical supply (due to the storm), the food being offered was very good. The burger is huge and delicious! We will be back when the kitchen is in full operation.

Really great family owned and operated business. We were greeted by one of the owners he walked up pieces tell us your story and we told him that we were out of town and that we passed up all the restaurants just come find this place it was the best beer batter fried mushrooms and fried green tomatoes I have ever. If you get a chance to get by this place stop in and see Miss Mary Helen and her family because this place is great !!!!!!!!
