We had lunch today and was really nice. Place is cute, service was pleasant, and dishes were delicious. My daughters shared and spinach and artichoke dip and the hot chicken sandwich, they said it was deli, I was cold and ordered the tortilla soup, super tasty. Then for dessert we shared the butter cake, and it was a great way to finish our meal.

Halibut and the seared ahi tuna were both excellent. Tried the Jalapeño margarita for the first time here and it’s my new favorite. This is my fourth time here in the past two years and it has always been a solid choice for lunch or dinner.

We recently discovered our favorite Dana Point restaurant had closed down after 38 years (Harbor Grill) and the owner at Art Sea (Next to the Harbor Grill) recommended Coastal Kitchen. We stopped by here 100% on recommend on Saturday 8/6/2023 at about 1:30pm. We got seated right away – the place is MUCH larger inside than it appears. Service was quick and friendly. I got the Bootleggers Hefeweizen and it was solid, in a frozen glass. My wife got the Salmon and broccoli – which was cooked perfect. I got the Cajun Shrink Appetizer as an entree. The Shrimp were perfect and the sauce! WOW! perfect heat and flavor. We ended with the Hot Fudge Sunday…it was perfect. Savory hot fudge, perfect vanilla bean ice cream and fresh made whipped cream. 10/10 on this experience. Will this place replace our Harbor Grill??

We met a friend there the other day. We both had the crab cake salad. Very good flavors and great crab cakes. My husband had the chicken and it was so juicy and flavorful. The staff and food was all very good. Would definitely go back again.

We are locals and come here a lot. The food and atmosphere are good. However…. much to our surprise, we were celebrating my fiance’s bday with a $300+++ tab. They said we needed to ‘order’ a dessert and they would put a candle on it… #tacky #tacky #tacky…. You guys have a thing or two to learn about customer service… We probably won’t be back! There are too many other great places that treat people better and make them feel special on their special days. Hopefully that’s something you guys can think about.

The restaurant looks nice from the outside but inside it is not a welcoming environment. Overpriced food and the quality is not that great. I ordered the 14 oz steak and most of it was fat, not meat. I have attached a picture of my $60 steak cut in half so people can see how most of it was fat. I have been here 4 times as i am a local. Very disappointing.
