We celebrated my husband’s birthday at Coastal Grill last night. I asked for an intimate area. The area wasn’t private but it was quite and romantic. Our waitress Montana was great. The food was delicious. If we’re ever in the area again, we will re-visit. My husband is a big eater so he elected the fried flounder. The portion size was larger than my crab cakes. The orange martinis had the perfect amount of alcohol.

This is a nice spot! Complementary valet, nice decor and lighting, and everyone is dressed well. The food is solid, especially for price! It was a busy time when I went, so it was quite crowded inside, but overall a great experience, friendly staff, and would come back!

The ambience is great, the servers are friendly and helpful, and the food is amazing! I had the salmon and tried the soft shell crabs from my aunt. Both amazing!! Sadly, it took over 1.5 hours to get our food, and we had little kids with us, which are not known for being patient. I understand nowadays is hard to get employees, but probably a warning that the kitchen was slow would have helped. Regardless, the place is fantastic and we’ll certainly come back, but likely without the kids.

I attended this upscale restaurant with a party of 12… the seating was extremely tight causing a beverage spill when trying to move plates around. A few were not impressed with their food (crab or crab legs… not sure), but my food was good. At about $30-40/plate, it was a bit expensive, but overall, it was decent. The venue is better suited for smaller parties.

The food here was very good. I had 3 different types of shrimp but I did thank the shrimp could have been cleaned a little better in the shrimp cocktail. The fried shrimp with the chili aioli was the best out of the three and I had shrimp and grits and the cocktail shrimp as well. The service was good but it did seem like our server was getting frustrated but I dont know what for. I would go back for the fried shrimp.

We made reservations about two weeks ago. When we arrived, I was a little shocked we were immediately seated outside. It was very hot. There was no option for us apparently. We noticed that we could be under dressed, maybe? But as the meal progressed we realized it was discrimination. Seated outside with us lowly people, we’re a large Mexican family, two lovely black women, a couple there that were under dressed and an Asian family. There was also a couple with a very small baby. Months old. This couple was experiencing the work of keeping an infant soothed. It was HOT! The staff were not letting them have a seat in the AC and only offered a high chair after the parents had to wrestle one from their car. Are you serious? They left and sat in their car and took their dinner home. Apparently there was a legislative rep VIP there and it was a large party, but they still had tables when we went to the restroom. The wait staff was really put out to wait on us. I felt we were pushed out. I was so disappointed. The food was good but honestly, it was too hot AND MISERABLE outside to enjoy. I left most of my plate. Looking in as we exited, there were no other “lowly” groups, just older white people. Just wow. When we realized the way we’re were treated I couldn’t believe it. Why were we not given an option inside or out when we made reservations? Are kids strongly discouraged from attending? Get your act together. How horrible. I felt extremely uncomfortable and embarrassed. Maybe we looked like we couldn’t afford to eat? Trust we we’re comfortable with your inflated prices for a meal just not discriminating service. The shrimp n grits were soup, btw, not the best way to enjoy a southern classic. Never again.
