Food and service was fine. Would love to see more vegan friendly options with some protein in the future though! Dinner and breakfast. The dinner I got the quinoa dish and breakfast was the vegetable hash without the eggs.

The portion sizes here are laughable, having eaten at many restaurants around the world of similar or better quality it was actually insulting how small each dish was for the price and number of dishes served. The timing of the food was also very slow, leaving you feeling like you were taking a bite of food every 20 minutes or so. I can’t say the food was bad tasting but it also wasn’t anything special. The staff tried very hard to make it a pleasant evening but unfortunately couldn’t make up for the kitchens shortcomings. If you want to visit this beautiful hotel I suggested eating at one of the other restaurants on property if you don’t want to leave feeling ripped off and hungry.

This is a price fixed 4 course meal. I cannot believe this was rated highly. Big waste of money. They use the back porch of the Bistro, which is dated. It feels like eating on your back porch. The dress code is collared shirts for men, jackets preferred and women cocktail attire. There are 10 tables. My husband and sons were in collared shirts and jackets. Not none other man was in a jacket. Collared shirts ranged from polo, to vineyard vines. A woman was in a collared shirt and khaki pants, several in jersey type dresses.

What can I say, I’ve been to all of NYC finest restaurants and spent $$$$$ on meals , but never have I left feeling like I was being punked. A five course meal that could fit into a handkerchief pocket and that would be fine if it were outstanding (not even close). Kudos to the staff that puts on a straight face while attending your every need . Great food , great ambiance has no price limit, but this felt like paying $1,000 for an old navy-T-shirt.

If you were to ask me to name my most surprisingly excellent meal in this past year of many memorable meals, I’d easily say COAST. I suspected COAST was going to be good, but I was not expecting it would be among the top 5 dégustations I had in 2017.

Outstanding meal and a beautiful location. The only option is chef’s choice five course menu. You do have a choice of vegetarian or meat eaters option, both costing $125 per person. In addition there is a $25supplement to upgrade to waygu beef, which was very tender and bursting with flavor. Amuse bouche was lobster and compressed water melon. Foie gras appetizer, followed by halibut. Then came the waygu beef. For desert we had a suffle. Everything was delicious but super tiny portions. I was feeling hungry until desert, but after the desert I was fully satisfied. I guess they had it figured out perfectly! After the check was paid there was one more surprise – a box of candies. At that point we were too full to eat them all. The restaurant also gave us a two momentous: a small bottle of maple syrup and a little bag with pound cake.

Coast is in a spectacular inn located in one of the most picturesque towns in Rhode Island. It’s a five course prix fixe menu. We took the waygu beef supplement, portions are tiny but it’s incredibly tender. Overall the meal was excellent.
