Seems to be pretty overrated. We had a decent wait, but pretty sure it came out quicker than quoted. Biggest disappointment was a severe lack of seasoning. The chicken sandwich tasted like bland, unseasoned chicken, and mayo. The olive burger was decent, but also seemed to really lack seasoning. All of the flavor, that was there, came from the toppings. All in all, pretty meh.

Amazing, delicious food! I often joke with my family that it’s good we don’t live around here because we’d all gain too much weight. It’s absolutely scrumptious and we occasionally cross the Mackinac bridge just to come here. The people who work here are great!

The food is not very good. We ordered our food to go. 2 Double Olive Burgers, 2 fries & 2 chicken tender baskets. The Olive burgers came with only cheese and about 10 slices of green olives, no other condiments. I was never asked what I wanted on the burgers. I guess it is probably my fault for not asking what comes on their olive burgers. Living in the state that invented olive burgers and eating countless olive burgers in my time, I can honestly say that I’ve never had one that didn’t come with olives, mayo, tomato & lettuce. Luckily, we had some extra condiments in the glove box. The meat was not seasoned very much and was very bland. The chicken tenders were not very good, and they were not chicken tenders either. They were made of processed chicken, that had a very sponge consistency. I understand the nostalgia of a drive-in, unfortunately the food did not live up to the hype.

A UP classic! These famous burgers are delish and the service is always exceptional. I love making the stop just after the bridge to this legendary drive in. Car ports a plenty with service to the window and a little bit of seating inside. Order food to go, order when you get there, or dine in if you get a seat! Cash only so bring the green and you won’t regret it!

Great food good prices. Was a long wait but was expected during lunch rush. Everyone was super positive and upbeat. Heads up cash only. Which is unfortunate cause I could only order half of what I wanted due to limited cash on hand.

I understand not taking credit cards. I don’t love it, but I certainly understand it. But “encouraging” people to tip for counter service?! I do not appreciate that. It’s the owner’s job to pay the staff, not the customer’s job. So I “encourage” ownership to pay the staff better. How about the owner “tips” the staff a portion of every single sale? Why not? So, it’s not too much to ask customers to do that, but it IS too much to ask of the person whose litteral job it is to pay the staff??

AVOID❗ARE YOU KIDDING ME❗ Horrible Wait Time for what? Burgers Flavorless, Fries bland❗ICONIC means there should be a Nitch to this place, NOPE❗40+min wait for 2 fricken burgers and fries❓ Standing inside waiting for food GROSS. Cooking Staff Never changed their Gloves, touching Everything then the food they where preparing ❗ watched them shove the ice in the bucket into the bin with THEIR bare Hands❓ No proper way to order food, ppl sitting at counter had to dodge food and payment at times. Food would sit under 2 red lights, to keep warm❓ by a light ❓ 2023 not 1963❗❗❗❗

The burgers here were awesome. The onion rings were cold and the shakes were a bit melted. This is because they sat on the counter for 15 minutes or so while the burgers were being made. Otherwise let me repeat that the burgers here were awesome.

This place was awesome. Food was super good. You can eat inside or park in drive up/in and eat in your car. Which is,what we did. Will go back when up there.

Finally made it to Clyde’s! Everyone has been telling us it’s a “must-stop” kind of place, and they were right! My wife had a burger, and I had a walleye sandwich, and they were delicious! Plus, chocolate shakes that we’re straight out of my childhood! Highly recommended.
