I would give more stars if I could. I’m new to the area (originally from DMV). In all honesty, I’ve been having difficulty processing some of the interactions I’ve experienced with locals/shop owners. Today I noticed that there was parking in front of Clocktower (unusual) so stopped to grab lunch. I presume it was the/an owner standing outside. He informed me that they are closed today. He then said he could offer me a cold sandwich. Took my order right there on the sidewalk and proceeded to produce the meal pictured here all with a kind and genuine smile. It is no exaggeration when I say this the best tuna on marble and real chips that I’ve ever had! Bonus: he threw in a cookie that I didn’t order…yes, I’m going to eat it. 🙂 This one seemingly simple act of kindness made my day and restored my faith in kindness and tolerance in this town. The fact that the food is amazing makes it even better. Clocktower for the win!

This place was great. Amazing waitress and the food was awesome. They have 50 cent wings on Wednesday and I will have to tell you they have some pretty damn good wings. All the food we ordered was amazing. This is one of the best restaurants we hit while on vacation. So stop in and check them out if you happen to be in the area. After you are done you can walk the downtown area which is nice area with a bunch of shops.

I was actually at the Karaoke night at Tempest. Everyone I met and talked to was friendly and welcoming. It was a really fun time with great performances by the singers who when up on stage. I definitely hope to be able to make it back in the future.

The food was underwhelming. Nothing had any flavor and did not taste fresh. My slider tasted like a hockey puck. The tables are sticky. The servers we encountered were very sweet and nice. I can’t fault them for the bad food.

The restaurant was hot and we waited about 25 minutes to get a appetizer luckily our food came right after we got the appetizer, the Mac and cheese was like they bought craft Mac and cheese but switched out the noodles and the my mom said the best part of the salad was the cheese. Nice enough restaurant in the heart of beautiful, historic downtown Staunton. Six different dishes ordered, but only one was great; the others were just okay. The beef in my French Dip was dry & flavorless. Perhaps it was a short staff situation or it was a bad night for the cook, but we wouldn’t mind giving it another try in the future. The dessert display was big & looked amazing, but we didn’t try any, so perhaps that would have been a redeeming feature as far as food. Nice live music band set up & that made it a fun dance-on-the-street-worthy environment.

Really cool spot in downtown Staunton with live music during the weekends. We went twice for breakfast and lunch, and we loved it. Big portions, fair prices and a cool atmosphere. The club sandwich was humongous, I was able to eat only half of it. They also have a cool bakery stand with cakes, cookies etc
