This place was the surprise of a lifetime. I can’t believe it took us this long to try it. The homemade soups are beyond delicious – get the split pea soup – so much yumminess, and apparently, it’s vegan! At first, we thought it was a bit pricy but changed our minds real quick. Rolls, salad, soup, entree, and homemade fresh pie – it’s honestly a bargain – and everything is delicious. I got the New York steak, and it was cooked perfectly. The rice pilaf was amazing. We heard people talking about the fried chicken, so we might have to try that next. They have this place run like a well-oiled machine. We never waited for anything. Oh, and the staff! So nice and really on top of it. We were so full we had our server bagged up our dessert to go. Next time, I’m making sure I leave room for that delicious pie. Another thing we enjoyed was the music playing in the backgroud. It must be a playlist because it had all different genres, which we thought was quite nice and a nice touch. We will be back. I definitely recommend Clemintine’s!!!

We were camping at the beach and went out for dinner. We lalalaloved Clementine’s and Pat was the best! I had Prime Rib, my husband had Terriyaki NY Steak. Both great! Comes w/homemade bread, soup & salad, baked potato, vegetable AND your choice of pie. Cannot beat that! We had Apple & Chocolate Cream Highly recommended Sorry forgot to photo my food. Iwas super hungry

I was told that this place had the best food. I’m a professional baker and cook and I would not recommend this place. I told the waitress that I was allergic to onions, and I took a bite of the carrots and I got very sick because they did have onions. The carrots were very hard also. The pies had no flavor and they need to learn how to make pie crusts. The fried chicken was hard and very dry. Please, if want a good home cooked meal,do not go there. I give this place a big zero for there food.

Clementine’s is a delight. It’s an old-world, real food (everything is homemade) experience. From the freshly baked bread to the home made soups AND THE PIE (Oh my goodness, the pie!) everything is top notch. The wait staff is attentive and knowledgeable and we enjoyed our evening immensely. It’s comfort food and the decor reflects that. Clementine’s is a Carpinteria gem and should be on your must-do list when you’re in town.

Really great family owned restaurant. Felt like we were eating at grandmas house. Everything is made from scratch, and you can feel the love in each bite.

We walked in from the backdoor and felt as if we were on vacation somewhere special! An inviting homey, atmosphere that you’d find in a non-touristy European village. Not staged, it was very real… 40 plus years in business! From the friendly, welcoming smiles on diners as well as staff, to the Insta-worthy housemade pies on the front counter. The waitstaff instantly felt like family. When did you last feel cared for in a restaurant? Mmmm fresh bread, soup and salad were excellent, perfect prime rib, a platter of fried chicken (!!!) with a sweet surprise side of berry compote, and I wish I asked how they made those baked potatoes! Crazy delicious! (Can you flash fry a whole potato??) We enjoyed dark beer, white wine and those pies!!! Thankfully pie was included with dinner, but with the wonderful problem of way too much food, we asked for our dessert to go. We have enough leftovers for at least two more meals, but we savored every bite of pie at home a couple hours later. And their whipped cream? Again I’ll have to ask how they made it so special! Mmmmm enjoyed every moment, every bite, and didn’t take a single photo. Next time!
