Organic Chicken Platter – Kinda bland but it’s still delicious.

This was one of the worst meals I’ve had in a while.

My new FAVORITE restaurant in Reno. It’s such a great addition to the area. The chic yellow interior and records playing funky tunes in the background make it a perfect dinner spot for any occasion. The food is all delightful! The rotisserie lamb and chicken are an obvious highlight but we are obsessed with their fried halloumi & crispy potatoes. The crispy octopus transported us to Europe and was perfectly cooked! We love the preserved lemon drop cocktail as well! You really can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. Another bonus is the take-out window which makes getting a lamb or chicken souvlaki on house made pita for lunch a breeze.

Claio is a beautiful space and an Adventure into the fusion of that cuisine in Reno. You will meet a staff that will make sure your dining experience is the best you’ve seen in a long while. As a first timer speaking, make your reservation and indicate if you want to be on the inside or the outside patios. You won’t be disappointed.

This place is, in a word “delectable.” Every morsel of food was a party of flavor dancing in my mouth. The burger was juicy in a proper manner that it was exquisite but not messy by any means. And they end the meal with a supple cherry for a pallet cleanser. I will definitely be going back.

We really enjoyed the look of the inside of the restaurant. We also enjoyed an after meal drink on the cute patio. The server was pleasant and gave us helpful suggestions. The halloumi was delicious! The cocktails were fresh and yummy. It’s nice to have a comfortable upscale restaurant in the neighborhood. We will be back for sure.

I want this place to be 5⭐ but it’s lacking in so many areas. The service is slow and they frequently forget about their tables (ex. waiting for dishes to be cleared for more than 15min). Some of the mezze dishes could easily be made better at home. We ate all of our food because the price per dish was absurd. The atmosphere is nice but no plans to return for below average service and overpriced food that could be made better in your own home.

Claio is wonderful. The warmth and ambiance, the friendly staff, everything. So much thought and detail was put into this restaurant and the food speaks for itself. Everything tastes fresh, bright, and homemade. Can’t wait to try other things on the menu next time.

I cannot understate how much I love Claio. As a member of the service industry not only do I appreciate how the owners advocate for providing all their staff full benefits by building the gratuity into the cost, but also the products are truly worth it. It’s the best lamb souvlaki anywhere in Reno year-round, second only to the weekend long Greek festival. The staff is very friendly, incredibly well trained, and very genuine. The store isn’t the biggest, so if you are sensitive to loud noises, do be aware the music and the ambiance can be a bit much. But, the atmosphere is warm and inviting, and you can do a lot worse for a family oriented locally owned restaurant. Also, for the love of God get the schmaltzy potatoes! They’re so crispy and perfect and I dream of making potatoes that delicious.

First experience at Claio was amazing! It was family style so my husband and I got the chicken rotisserie and shared some sides. We also had the option of having extra pita and other toppings such as pickled onions, cucumber, feta, etc. It was around $28 for the half of a chicken and the toppings with pita was another $12 (enough for 2 people). We just went again tonight and they changed the menu setup. It’s no longer family style, therefore everyone orders their own protein. It is now 1/4 chicken for $24 but nothing else on the plate-no toppings or extra pita to eat with it. The chicken tasted good and was moist but we didn’t think it was worth $24 per piece of chicken. We think it would be more worth that price if toppings, dipping sauce, and pita were included – at least for the entire table to share. The family style was very unique and we really enjoyed it. It seemed a lot more worth the money spent as well. We’re sad to see it change.
