After my interview, I was ravenously hungry! The oxtail was really good. I didn’t care too much for the shrimp fried rice, as I prefer my rice to be a bit more Shelly. The salad was fresh as well.

There is no sit in available but that is the reason for the rating. The rating is for the food and service. I ordered the oxtail dinner and luckily I was far where I went to sit and try and eat. You opened the takeout tray and can see right away the meat wasn’t cooked. I try to sample one and the meat sample was tough (couldn’t cut or chew). Keep in mind, the prices are above average. I allowed someone else to sample the meat as I have high expectations when it comes to Jamaican dishes and they agreed the meat was not cooked. When I returned, there was a minor exchange that was food was cooked but they didn’t want to look at my dish or sample it but want to give me the same dish again. To enjoy this dish now, there is no authenticity to this dish, was not going to happened. Money down the drain.

Smh still… the service is horrible, horrible, horrible ! I asked the man behind the counter what’s the price of a small jerk chicken and a large? His response, “I don’t know the prices”(I should have existed right then, lol). I Ordered a large oxtails, with a medium jerk chicken, after I checked out he tells me he doesn’t have any oxtails. Then looked at me like it was my fault (really?). I’ve always tried my best to support small businesses. It’s becoming more difficult when the standard of service is declining. When the community stops supporting these businesses, they question as to why. Treating your customer base with kindness and respect is what keeps your clientele returning. It’s sad to hear when people mention this particular restaurant, they are known more for their attitude & bad service than the quality of food that they serve. Very disappointing experience! DO BETTER!

C& J provides great food, dollar for dollar. However, they need to work on there order fulfilment. If you don’t catch it at the counter, forget about returning it. I don’t know how that work with delivery service. It’s great food and you won’t regret spending your hardd earn money here. Just as to see the food before they close it up and bag it.

The male staff is really cool at this restaurant. The females need some work. But I notice in most restaurants the females are very rude. Why is that? The male workers are very happy at this place but the females are not . Also the price’s are ridiculous . I bought a medium bake chicken 11$. I got a leg and a piece of chicken back. The chicken back had no meat on it . You guys should not even be charging for chicken back. So basically I paid 11$ for a leg rice and veggies. The leg did taste good though.

I was recommended this place by a friend. And it was not worth it at all! The portion sizes are a rip off. The lady gave me a spoon in a half of rice for a medium and it was the same size as the small that I ordered. Then I told her to put more rice because that is the same size as a small which is $7.50 I ordered a medium $10 I did not pay for the container I paid for more food! She wanted to be rude about it. If you do not speak up they will treat you any way. I am a new customer and verbally stated that when I walked in.
