First time at this location. We ordered 1 lb meat. 3 sides and fried pickles for $35. The sides were excellent (corn pudding. Collard greens & slaw) but the pulled chicken and fried pickles were way over salted. We could not eat them. Total waste. See photo of the $8 pickles.

It has been open less than a month, but my local City BBQ has been a great experience everything we’ve been there.

Had lunch here with my sister today. The minute I walked in the door, I could feel the good vibes. The employees were nice and helpful and smart and courteous – all of them, from the front counter to the finish. The food was excellent, but more importantly, we have never been treated so well by employees, and the manager was so nice. I really don’t know how the manager was able to get a whole team of top notch people. It was so refreshing. We’ll be back. Thank you!

I ordered take out the other night and got “the judge sampler” only thing edible was the chicken, the ribs had zero meat, I had to scrape what meat there was off the bone, the brisket was way over cooked and just all around not good, the pulled pork was mush, the “cornbread” was burnt and disgusting, we used to love city bbq in fact we catered it for our wedding a few years ago, and now I don’t believe we’ll be returning. The food was just absolutely horrible.

My food was hot and seasoned perfectly. My only issue is that the restaurant ran out of a menu item after only being open two hours. The location is new, so it may take time to fully grasp the crowd. Other than that, this place is worth every cent.

I have been to another location some years ago when this chain first opened. I did not really like it then. I decided to try this new location closer to my home. I was pleasantly surprised how good the food was. Would like if the fried pickles were battered better. I will be back!

First & last time visiting this location. The food didn’t taste right. Like it was old or something and the skin on the chicken was really tough. The bread seemed a lil old too. The ribs didn’t have any meat on em neither. Overall 2 out of 5.

We placed our order online to be picked up at the Brentwood (Finneytown) location. My daughter said her chicken was fine. I ordered two bones and a smoked sausage link with peppers and onions, Texas toast on the side. That’s exactly the way the receipt reads. I get almost to Fairfield when my daughter separates the order and we realize not only do I have a thimble of cole slaw instead of peppers and onions, but it’s all on the Texas toast…making the toast soggy. The two rib bones were just that…bones.

Clean place friendly staff. Spacious. Not a down home smoked tenderness, but if you just have a taste for some Barbecue, pre-made & simply warmed up? Barbecue City Barbecue is available. The sauces do help.
