Absolutely AUTHENTIC, made from scratch, soul soothing food NOT from a chain restaurant! This family owned and operated restaurant has been my go-to for Italian food when I’m in the area! It is the epitome of a hidden gem I have been enjoying for YEARS! I love that the second generation has taken the helm and is continuing the tradition of this fantastic restaurant! This is Italian food like Nonna would make and will not disappoint! DO NOT miss this place!

While visiting Orlando from Canada – our Canadian Italian family was missing an authentic home cooked meal. After some research I came across Ciao Italia; and boy were we ever happy we did. The atmosphere is quaint and elegant. The service is perfection. Carmelo our waiter was attentive and enjoyed some Italian trivia from my 10 year old daughter. The portions are generous and the food is absolutely delicious. A hidden gem and so worth it.

The service was a little rough. The food was good, but not consistently good. For example, chicken parmesan was great, but spagetti that came with it was not that great. Tomato sauces were too ketchupy.

I am so glad I was able to experience Ciao during my Orlando trip. Every single thing we ordered was fantastic. The appetizers, bread and oil, and my Caesar salad were great. The main, course, however (seafood pasta) was absolutely delicious! I think the scallops were the best I’ve had in my entire life.

This restaurant is nice, but I felt like there were some disappointments. The food wasn’t cooked to order. It literally came out two minutes after we ordered it. I ordered the “Special” with scallops and shrimp. The pasta was a disappointing fettuccine noodle which didn’t really work with the thin consistency of the sauce. The flavor was good, but wasn’t what I expected. The temperature of the dish was also inconsistent. It was hotter on top and not so hot towards the bottom. My fiance got the spaghetti bolognese. He liked his and said it was good flavor. The bread was very good. It was a rustic type bread. Although, we didn’t get it right away when we sat down. So we didn’t enjoy it as a before the meal treat. The service was also lacking. We weren’t asked how our meal was or asked to refill drinks. That was very disappointing. Based on all the disappointments and the $39 price of the special alone, I wasn’t told upon ordering, I wouldn’t return.

This place is a DEFINITE place I will come back to. As soon as you enter, you receive a warm welcome and walked to your table. The server is GREAT and people oriented. The food is AMAZING!!! You can definitely tell that it’s a family owned business. Between the food and drinks. I will give it over 100%, if I could. I ordered a Risotto Pescatore with a Moscato and it was to melt for. Then, for dessert my husband and I ordered a Hazelnut Gelato which was DELICIOUS!!!

Excellent choice. Locally and family owned. The salad was bright and fresh, bread warm and homemade. The lobster linquine was so rich and depth of flavor but very light. Lobster bits were throughout. The shrimp and scallops were perfectly cooked.

Wonderful Italian food and atmosphere. We had a great dinner with friends and the starters were delicious. Our main dishes were prepared perfectly and presented beautifully. Our waiter was good and not pushy. We will go back again to try other dishes.

Orlando can feel fake sometimes. Don’t get me wrong, I love Mickey, Minnie, Harry, and all the other characters in a place that lets you escape reality like Orlando. But, it’s a real treat to eat authentic Italian food in a city full of chain restaurants. I had the best spaghetti bolognese I have ever eaten tonight. The service, the food, and the ambience were all wonderful. Ciao Italia Ristorante is my go to place for dinner whenever I’m in Orlando from now on!

Beautiful restaurant and the food was delicious! We also ordered the cheesecake for dessert but it didn’t last long enough for a picture. It was sooo good! One of the servers was so nice and was playing along with my son’s silliness!
