This is one of the best pizza’s I have had in a long time. Call ahead or be prepared to wait for this delicious pizza.

This busy place has the best pizza I have had in quite some time. Crust was chewy and good flavor, sauce is fantastic. The veggie pizza had edge to edge thick toppings I think it was more than an inch deep with generous, fresh toppings. Dough and sauce made on site. In the 45 minutes we were there I would guess about 30 pizzas were picked up. Staff very friendly.

I give them lots of stars because they are friendly good people doing their best to make pizza as they know it. Being from the Chicago area we know what great pizza is. But I like diversity and this was most diverse pizza I’ve ever experienced. Bland scant sauce with scant cheese, baked and then topped with a thick pile of toppings that seem to have been heated separately and then dumped all over the pizza. The toppings and the pizza below are 2 separate entities. I suppose this is Ludington style pizza, and I’m taking some home as a souvenir to show others.

Best pizza in the area without a doubt. Crust is on the thin side and there’s plenty of sauce and toppings. Fairly priced given the portions you get. Staff are friendly and efficient despite it being a go-to place which means it’s always busy. Indoor seating is limited to just a hand full of tables, but carry out is always a wise option. Recommend calling ahead at least 30-45 minutes ahead of time, especially on a weekend, but it’s well worth the wait.

Decided to try Chuck Wagon pizza, it’s okay. The price is very reasonable for a fresh, made to order pizza with a medium crust. It’s cooked on wire mesh screen and not directly on a stone. Some reviews had said that it was like a Chicago thin (it’s definitely NOT, the crust is very different). The ingredients were generous, I liked the pepperoni but disliked the little crumbles of sausage they used. Seemed like very nice people running it.

We arrived to Chuck Wagon when it was packed but they took our order and reserved a table for us and we were able to leave and do a few errands and return. When we returned, our table and food was ready and waiting for us. We got the chef’s salad, breadsticks and a half pepperoni/ half cheese pizza. All the food and service was great. We will definitely be back. Highly recommended.

I’ve been eating these super loaded super delicious pizzas my whole life. Run by an awesome family. Still miss seeing Rick, but glad we still have his awesome pizza to enjoy and remind us of him.

Small restaurant but very personable staff. Order your pizza ahead they are very busy. I have always came here every time I come to Ludington. It wouldnt be a ludington trip without eating their amazing pizza. They layer on toppings and they really care about customer service. I highly suggest the cheesy ricks sticks.

Decent place. Pizza was very standard. Was recommended by a lot of locals, while they have a lot of toppings, the pizza game is pretty serious now and the flavor just wasn’t there. May try again because the value is fair and the service was good.

Is Chuck Wagon under new ownership? The pizzas we got were totally different this year. We live out of town. We go there at least once a year. Last year and every year before that, the toppings were so thick they fell off the sides. We were there 10 days ago. The crust was good, but the toppings were only a quarter or less of what they were before. Very disappointing! However the service was good and staff friendly. Now, we’ll probably try other places in town.
