We were the only family here besides one other couple on a Saturday night. Hibachi was dry chicken and gave us stomach pains later in the evening. Don’t recommend. They must make all of their money on take out orders. Definitely not a restaurant to dine in and you could tell food was not that fresh or well sourced.

What an amazing experience. The sushi rolls were exceptional, along with the cooked seafood choices. The atmosphere was warn and comfortable. The staff provided excellent customer service, and and ensured we had a most pleasurable dinning experience. Our family had a very enjoyable evening out to dinner.

I hadn’t been to a hibachi place for years so decided to visit Chubby Salmon over the weekend. While the decor is a bit dated and the space could use some refreshing, we decided to let the food speak for the restaurant and boy am I glad we did.

We ordered here because conveniently both our 2 normal sushi spots were closed so we thought we’d give it a try. WARNING: The service is soooo slow. My husband and I ordered take out tonight. Sunday night, so we figured we’d beat the evening rush and rang in exactly at 4:59p. We order 2 sushi rolls and 1 basic hibachi dinner, that’s it. They told us 45 min. At first I thought hmm that’s kinda long for a pick up order usually it’s 20-25 min. But I gave them the benefit of the doubt. I thought it’s Sunday night, after covid, with 2 other local sushi competitors closed (they normally aren’t closed on Sunday’s) I figured buisness is probably popping.

Very friendly sushi bar. Chef was knowledgeable and food was fresh. Conversation ranged from best Korean barbecue to the many orchids in the restaurant. We will return.

I highly recommend Chubby Salmon! We had excellent friendly service and a good overall experience. We ordered the raman bowl and a few speciality sushi rolls. Everything was fresh and had really great flavor.

Unfortunately it wasn’t chubby salmons greatest night. The AC appear to be broken we were sweating. Food took a while to get to us and the bathrooms were disappointing. Food was average.
