Too open for waitresses to just be standing around chatting. Took awhile for the food to come. The chic that was tending to us forgot a lot of stuff. Over & over again . Got a “to go” salad & we legit just kept going over what a vegetable salad was it was so weird. A landmark in the community for decades. Imagine that 1 lone restaurant off the interstate after you have been driving for hours.Home cooking at it’s best and very reasonable prices.

Chris’s is the quintessential American Diner. They have excellent food made from scratch every day. Their breakfast is delicious and served until 2pm . It’s our go-to weekend brunch spot. This place could be a 5 star restaurant if the oldest server there didn’t have to run around and do all the work while 4 others stood and talked! Then while the servers were talking I was sitting with a empty drink our table had dirty dishes on until the bus boy removed them! No pre busing system in place no standing around talking in place! But the FOOD OMG was outstanding the PERCH was amazing and the potato soup best ever! I was a server for years maybe I was trained differently but I felt unappreciated as a guest spending $$$ they are not cheap!

Somehow this place knows how to mess up reheating frozen fried chicken. The chicken was ice cold in the middle, but at least they took it off the bill. I guess I should have gone to a franchise place instead of trying a new local place when visiting the area.

My go-to location for Lake Erie Perch for many years. 3 times a month on Fridays. The Perch I received a few weeks back was not Lake Erie Perch. Lake Erie Perch has a distinct look and taste. My guess is that it was farm raise Perch. Staff was advised, and they said they were calling the owner. I hope it was just a mix up, because if they’re trying to pull something, I’ll never go back.
