Didn’t like the fact that there wasn’t any alcohol in their drinks. Was very, very disappointed. Not only that, they don’t have a blender to mix drinks? I was literally taking away by that? What restaurant honestly doesn’t have a blender to mix alcohol drinks? Other than that, everything else was good.

This place has the best chips. They make their own chips, and they are not to thick. They are nice and thin. I how how when you grab salsa the chip just crumbles really well in your mouth. I loved the food. Good flavor and right on time. This place gets busy and is so getting to the restaurant early is recommended. I love the location , it’s close to the movie theater. But again the chips are the star of the show for me. I have traveled to many places in both the U.S.A and Mexico and these chips are my favorite so far. I can’t praise then enough for getting this just right. Come for the chips and stay for dinner or lunch.

This is one of our favorite restaurants in PDX. We love the enchiladas, it’s family friendly, kind staff, great atmosphere. We always come back!

It was alright, but very overpriced! The tortilla chips were pretty good and the hot salsa was okay. I got the quesadilla and it was much different than what a normal quesadilla looked like. It was much different and not much cheese in it. That part I didn’t care for because I love an extra cheesy quesadilla! There was also a tiny bit of cheese and some green bell peppers in it as well. Which I didn’t like because it made it taste so bland! The dipping sauce was guacamole and it tasted amazing, I give that 5 stars. Overall it was okay in a way, but not the best.

Everything was amazing…very rich and flavorful food, fantastic chips and flavorful, smoky salsa. Fresh tortillas made in house. I ordered the Chile rellenos and the sauce had an incredibly rich flavor. Great margaritas and service. I couldn’t recommend this place more.

Shrimp Guacamole Tostada on the appetizer menu was out of this world in taste and texture. It was a whole meal for me. Great service too.

We went on a Saturday evening for dinner. We were told the wait was 20-30 minutes, which was fine but we ended up only waiting 10 minutes. The restaurant is very nice! I love the theme! We were given chips and salsa almost immediately and then waters came almost right after. I did notice on the menu, only the first basket of chips is free. I was a little taken aback by that but once the chips arrived, it made sense to me. The chips are very fresh. I didn’t ask but they taste like they are made there in the restaurant and they give you a very large basket of chips so if we needed another basket, it made sense to pay the additional charge, which I think is just a couple of dollars. Now the food, EXCELLENT!! Its very authentic in seasoning and taste. The portions are big. I had enough to take to work for lunch the next day. I think the pictures speak for themselves. The carne asada fries are on the appetizer list of the menu but is portioned like an entree. Our server, Shalea, was great. We had an excellent experience and it was worth every cent. If you’re looking for good, authentic, flavorful Mexican food, put Choza at the top of your list!

The food was delicious, sauces were crazy good, and the complimentary salsa before the meal was fantastic. Service at the time wasn’t very attentive or responsive, but they were pretty busy. Regardless, it seemed like other tables were definitely getting more attention than ours, so it was a bit off-putting. Something else that may be noteworthy is the cost, I paid 3.50 for soda water, which is ridiculous, but I guess it is considered a “soft drink.” Food prices were also high, but that’s Durham/Tualatin area for ya.

What a bummer. It’s a cute restaurant with great service, but the food was lackluster. We were excited to try it because they make their own tortillas but the tacos (shrimp, fried fish and carnitas) were bland, the sauce that came on the side wasn’t flavorful, and the al pastor was not close to authentic and was very dry.
