Local BBQ in Caldwell. Some of the best collard greens I’ve had since moving from the south. We had a sampler plate that had lamb riblets as part of it, and I’ll say that it was an interesting experience. I had the beef tongue sandwich and it was good but the tongue was a little tough. My wife brisket was really good.

So this place is amazing, if you are looking for some tasty barbecue. I highly recommend hit this place up. The service is great and very helpful and the owner is awesome. The brisket was on point and potato grenades are INCREDIBLE. Sorry for the bad pics, it smelled so good I started eating then remembered to take pics. The barbecue sauce is delicious.

Was very very good. Great service, and great food. BBQ house feel to it. Had the Fried Chicken sandwich, Pulled pork sandwich, yams, fried mashed potato balls, mac and cheese, and fries between 3 people. All was really tasty.

We randomly picked this place while staying the night in Caldwell on a road trip and I will drive 7 hrs again to come eat here. The staff was super nice and the food was fantastic! Best pork and brisket I have ever had and the butternut squash Mac and cheese was delightful. We got lucky to be there when the chef was experimenting with a new dessert and it was amazing! Oh you must have the bread pudding too because yum.

Chef Chris is AMAZING! His food is so flavorful and creatively presented! We have enjoyed many outstanding meals and love the personable service and atmosphere and uniqueness! I highly recommend the Chop Shop BBQ across from the ice skating rink in downtown Caldwell!!! Exquisite food! You must try his Mac and Cheese side dish- it will surprise you!

Well after ready many good reviews, we decided to give this place a try. We were not greeted when we walked in but stood at the front for maybe 5 minutes before a waitress acknowledged us and then waited probably another 5-10 minutes before she actually took our order. We were handed menus at the register and told to order before we sat down. Don’t love that. We ordered the potato grenades (which were the best thing we tried) pit sampler, the shop burrito and a fried chicken sandwich. $85…whoah! I was hoping that the price would be justified by the taste. It was not. The sausage was so dry and crumbly we didn’t touch it after the 1st bite. The ribs were OK. The brisket was probably some of the most disappointing brisket I’ve had. No smoke ring whatsoever, dry and overall lackluster. The BBQ sauces were terrible, a very odd flavor to them. The chicken sandwich was good although the hot sauce used is also not great but the chicken was at least juicy.The food comes out on metal cafeteria style trays which is OK for a bbq place.There wasn’t much service to speak about. The woman was friendly and that’s all I can say.

AMAZING, We had the sampler and everything was perfect. The potato granades were also a great appetizer . We chose the bread pudding for dessert and got spoiled by the chef with a wonderful fresh fruit dessert as an extra. All I can say is Wow we will be back and you should try this place. Thank you to all the staff we really appreciate you all.
