My sister in law took is here because we wanted to eat some quick breakfast. I must say that it is really good. It’s Mexican fast food but it’s really good. The burritos look good but unfortunately did not try one. What I got was a breakfast bowl. It had a lot of flavor. The pico de gallo and avocado were fresh. Really like that they had a Mexican glass drinks. Nothing beats a cold glass coke when eating Mexican food. Overall it’s a must try if in the area.

We visited Chispa’s after an appointment nearby. We ordered our food through the Chispa’s website and it said 5-8 minutes until it was ready. We arrived in the drive thru and we were told they didn’t have our order come through their system. We showed them our confirmation multiple times on my phone and the text from my bank showing my card was charged. They still made us wait 30 minutes to figure out that it was an issue with their ordering system before they gave us our food. When my husband kindly mentioned that proper customer service would’ve been giving us our order figuring that issue out after we left since we showed multiple confirmations and our order was only $19, the employee began arguing with him about how people try to get free food. We won’t return.

This is so unfortunate because I love this place and I have been coming here since they opened. However, I cannot support a business that keeps the credit tips and does not give them to the employees that earned those tips. I don’t even know how this is legal, but it certainly is not ethical whatsoever. If you ever want to tip these employees, who by the way ALWAYS have the absolute best customer service and are so sweet- make sure you tip in cash only, otherwise your money is going straight to the business. Not sure if I’ll be returning after having knowledge about this.. I found this out indirectly.

The make your own burrito or bowl is great. I’ve tried the carne asada, Al pastor, and the shrimp. My favorite is the shrimp burrito. They have some interesting toppings to add as well. Also try the Chispa’s Salad. Very good too!

The breakfast burrito (bacon, egg & potato) is really yummy and enclosed in the most delicious tortilla on the planet. I keep coming back everytime I am in Scottsdale. Wishing they would open a place in Dallas, TX, and I would be in Heaven!!
