Great food. Creative changes to classic Mexican. At times maybe too creative, but judge for yourself. Nice casual place to eat.

Loved it! Food was wonderful (not too spicy), especially for the price!

Tasty and light Tacos. They have vegan and vegetarian options. Tried their jack fruit, eggplant and plantain tacos. All of the were good and I liked the jack fruit one the most.

These were some of the prettiest tacos I’ve ever had. Not only did they look pretty, they tasted amazing! We had the pulled chicken and shrimp tacos, both insanely good and juicy. This is obviously more modern vs tradition tacos but I usually don’t have a preference as long as they’re good. They also gave us their spiciest sauce to try which was like crack to me.

The best horchata in SF is at this authentic local place. Thick and creamy but not too sweet, and not watered down like everywhere else. Talk to the owner Ray, he is the friendliest and made sure my order was perfect. He even recommended me places to visit in the city! I’ll return here whenever I visit.

We had a great experience eating at Chisme. We ordered the Mahi Mahi tacos, steak tacos, fried plantain, chicken quesadilla, and ginger limeade. Everything was delicious. The sauces were all very nicely flavored. Mole was nice. Would highly recommend.

Let the first line of my review, be all you need when deciding whether to patron Chisme Catina SF; ITS THE BEST MEXICAN CUISINE {Hands Down} In San Francisco. Now, I know, that’s high praise, because SF is a foodie city and has a rich cultural history for Mexican and Latino cuisine. Chisme sets itself apart from other restaurants because of the: (a) Quality of food, (b) Unique and healthy variety, (3) Sangrias, and (4) Quality of staff and leadership. I had the opportunity to interact with one of the managers at Chisme, Maria, and she is the ABSOLUTE BEST. In addition to the amazing food and drink choices, the quality of personnel at any business, is of the utmost importance. Feeling cared for in addition to leaving satisfied is what makes Chisme one of SF’s best kept secrets. Now, everything on the menu is good, but, the Shrimp Burrito / Taco is the BOMB! The portions are generous and quality of the ingredients are unmatched. I had the Shrimp Burrito, Chips and Guacamole, and I couldn’t have been more satisfied. Now, what makes this even better, especially for Vegans / Vegetarians, are the jack fruit tacos. Yes, you read that right, jack fruit tacos. This place has everything and is worth a try. Also, if you’re looking for a job, Chisme Is Hiring!

So good- both food, and service. Ordered the mahi mahi and the skirt steak tacos- both were delicious- but if I were to choose (if you like fish)- I would go with the mahi mahi. The sauces in the tacos were dope, every bite was freaking rad! It also comes with their house sweet and spicy habanero sauce, which added heat for sure. Enjoyed all these tasty treats with sangria and beer! Thank you!
