This location is notorious for randomly closing early, many times just having the doors locked with employees just wandering/sitting around in the building. Consistently runs out of very basic menu items (chicken, rice, queso). The burritos more often then should be allowed are covered in food juice on the outside of the tortilla, messy counter conditions contributing heavily. On multiple occasions I have been able to hear the music the employees are blaring from my car as I pull up, through my closed car windows and the closed building doors. Actually the worst managed Chipotle in the area.

I ordered a double meat bowl this evening. I ordered it online and for some reason whenever I order online they skimp on all of the ingredients. I wouldn’t be that upset normally but I tipped and my total came out to around $18 and what I got was a very small burrito bowl that’s almost half the portion of a regular bowl. Needless to say I am disappointed.

You guys really need to fix your phone system to make it easier for customers to directly call the restaurant. I placed an uber order but accidentally ordered the wrong item (not your fault I understand) however I tried to call to get someone there to change my order in time before they completed it but the automated system wouldn’t let me talk to a team member. When I repeatedly just asked to speak to a team member I couldn’t it just kept asking for more information as to why. When I said it was to change my order the system kept thinking I wanted to place a new order. So I never got to change my order to get what I actually wanted all because I couldn’t just simply speak to a dang staff member. I am not blaming the Ankeny location specifically but chipotle in general for this frustrating experience. Bottom line make it easier for customers to reach a live person because this is not good customer service.

Came to this Chipotle at 8:45 PM on 3/25 to pick up food before I went to work tonight. They had already locked the doors and were turning customers away. One man specifically with glasses and black hair, right above shoulder length unlocked the door and asked another customer and I if we were there for online orders. We both said no, and he proceeded to say well we’re closed. I stated that they don’t close for another 15 minutes (per the closing time being at 9 PM), and he said “Well, I don’t know. We’re closed.” Terrible customer service. I myself have worked at a Chipotle, and it was mandatory that until closing time, we are to serve every last customer to the best of our ability. Every other Chipotle has and continues to do so. Hopefully things change here!

This location SUCKS. every time there is an issue. usually, its the burnt to a crisp chicken thats so bad I have to spit it out. but i decided to get carnitas this time. i always do pickup orders because its easier when ordering for two at the gym. my bowl was missing majority of what i wanted in it.
