My wife and I visit the area once or twice per year, this small but amazing dining establishment is always a must. The food is amazing. Great flavors, what ever you order, but the BEST crab Rangoon. Friendly owners and staff. Clean! Quick! Delicious! Attentive!

Don’t waste your money!!! Okay so my family and I were reading reviews on Chinese food in the area this place had really good reviews. I CANNOT UNDERSTAND HOW (maybe they were paid for) the food is awful no taste and greasy garbage. To top it off the counter clerk is rude and when I asked her for a paper plate she kept saying it’s already plated. I also asked for soy sauce. I understand it’s in cheap styrofoam box ding dong. I wanted a paper plate to eat the food off of. I spent over 100$ for awful food and I had to beg for a paper plate and soy sauce no Thank you. I won’t be back. I summer here every year I see now why I’ve never heard of this trashy outdated dingy Chinese food resturant fyi the large amount of cars in the parking lot is from the planet fitness next door not this terrible restaurant. Also we all had tummy aches after eating our food ugh what a terrible place.

Food was very good. I’m often disappointed when having Chinese food out of town, but this is some of the best take out I’ve had in years. Please note:they share a building with the gym/health club. I drove by three times before I noticed them in an otherwise desolate stretch of road.

They have the best hot and sour soup that I’ve had outside of Asia. The rest is typical American Chinese food. Good prices, fast service. If you are considering China star in Newport, don’t. That place is garbage.

I have only ordered takeout but the food is amazing!! My son loves the chicken noodle soup. I enjoy the chicken fingers. The batter is light and fluffy but not over fluffy that the chicken is lost inside. The duck sauce they serve is their own recipe and i have never had anything like it. It is amazing!! The chicken chow mein is fall river style with crunchy noodles, lots of chicken and tons of fresh celery and onions. We have tried other items and have not been disappointed but these are the three we order way to often!!

I really liked the Kum Pao Chicken. The hot and sour soup was ok, not my favorite. The staff seemed irritable the I was a lone diner but maybe they were just busy. I would try it again just for that Kum Pao!
