Hands down the best Chinese food in Madison. My son and I have been patrons of this fine establishment for more than a decade. Our favorites are Chicken Lo Mein, Sweet and Sour Chicken, General Tso’s Chicken, Beef and Broccoli and their amazing Chicken Fried Rice! All excellent meals! I cannot even recommend them enough! I’m putting three stars to keep it “neutral”. Maybe I’m the idiot. This was the chicken chow mein. I took it back and asked what it was, they pulled up and looked at my order and then told me that was chicken chow mein (they did not identify it before looking back to see order). It is like no chicken chow mein I have ever had, there were no noodles and all in some tasteless soup. Some sort of tasteless onion, tasteless chicken, and I’m not sure what the green thing was. So if this looks good to anyone- then order the chicken chow mein

Keep Going
We have been coming here for years. We just returned after being gone from Madison for two years and I came by here within two hours to get our dinner and breakfast tomorrow. If you see my pictures, you will note that they have taken extraordinary measures to ensure their health and the health of all of their customers. They’ve installed plexiglass dividers completely across the front of the cooking area. Even behind that, all the employees are always wearing masks. They are practicing totally safe food preparation. My wife and I cannot encourage you enough to get carry out from this restaurant. The quality is superb and you are safe picking your food up here.

We have ordered China Wok a few times and we have always felt it’s better than the usual Madison Chinese spots. We ordered today, 01/21/22, and the food we picked up was not edible. Our shrimp fried rice was mushy and extremely over cooked, but the shrimp was ironically cold and slightly undercooked. Our sweet and sour chicken was raw and wet on the inside, and you could barely tell the chicken from the mushy bread dough goo. Overall, we paid almost 30$ for guaranteed indigestion.

Ordered a couple times and tried lots of different foods. The beef and chicken were pretty good quality. I would recommend the mixed vegetables under the vegetable section. One thing to watch out for is their Chow Mien, it’s not noodles and more of a Chop Sui. It comes with rice and these fried chips. If you want to order noodles, it’s the Lo mien or the Mei Fun. It seems like their pick up orders are more efficient for them. It’s much quicker and food is warmer. You can also tell the staff the time you’re picking up the order, they’re ver flexible with things

One of our favorite take out Chinese restaurants in Madison. Everything I have tried has tasted great. We love to mix the hot and sour soup with the egg drop soup – ohhh so good. The sesame and orange chicken are very similar and both delicious. The Happy Family has a nice balance of favors and a generous serving. The kitchen is very quick and everyone is friendly. Two thumbs up!
